=p just was trying different things. idk why i said circle, it was actually a small spiral haha. thinking about tit, though, i am pretty sure i did that one on one of the two GH plates i made at the same time. the PE plates were from a swab, that i just did in three dots around the edge.
just trying different things =p

I stashed these away out of paranoia and the temperatures reached over 100F on several days over the past week or two. Looks like the PE is the only heat resistant strain. That golden teacher looks like it straight up consumed all the MEA in the dish. Not sure if it's still alive or not. Transkai appears to be interlaced with trich. It's got the weirdest shade of green. The 2nd transfer of PE looks to have a bit of hidden black mold that made itself present in the heat, and the third transfer looks fucking golden. May even try my luck with a LC.

Shit, tell me about it. I took a sclerotia clone a while back and the mycelium grew a very dark, almost blue-black colour. I just thought it was the normal ATL#7 discolouration at first so I took 2 transfers, taking one from the blackish area. Ended up being trich. Threw away the original clone transfer a few days ago and it had the strongest trich smell I've ever smelled.
Funny how much the colour changes when mold grows with mycelium.

Is this what a yeast contam looks like?

I can't tell if it's the poorly ground drywall (gypsum) or yeast. The dots are mostly on one side.

last week I thought I had some mold in my WBS jars but it turned out to be calcium powder from the crushed oyster shells at the bottom of the wbs bag, the mycelium grow around it making it pop and look like green mold setting in. Got lucky

over supplementation. core got too hot, mycelium died in center. I'm kinda baffled that there aren't any molds moving in, but u can see the dead center, I tried digging in to show better. The spawn was clean, so I guess it put up a good fight and pinned really well on the perimeter of the dead spot

It's cool, bc seeing it has been keeping it in my mind too, and shit's been heavy.
Also, i like seeing results of over supplementation. This post will come in handy the next time some hot shot comes in with a recipe for higher potency, etc. I feel like.

That's insane BL. I had a straw laundry basket go really warm on me a few weeks back. It went moldy pretty quickly and as I was picking up the straw by hand to trash it, the straw was literally as warm as piss but it still didn't do that.
This thing showed up last week in one of my coir trays.
