Fruiting Lion's Mane open air
    #22222854 - 09/11/15 04:24 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

So awhile ago I was at the farmers market and picked up some nice Lion's Mane for a good price.  I cloned one to agar, put it to two quarts rye grain, then spawned that to some pasteurized mesquite chips + coir + verm.  Made two little small bags.

I'm waiting to get my greenhouse out of storage, an realized that it started fruiting today.  I'm not going to be able to get that setup in time, so you guys think I'm good just trying to open fruit it?  I'm currently doing cube monotubs in an extra bathroom, and figured I should try them in there because the lighting cycle is already setup and have a smallish fan in there exchanging air with the rest of the house.

Wondering how tolerant they will be to the low humidity?  I can mist them daily, but I feel its just getting on the plastic bag.  A small humidity tent seems like I wouldn't be getting very good FAE, and I certainly don't want to put them in a SGFC or monotube.

Think they will do 'alright' in this room with the fan lightly circulating air in and out?  Internet says my humidity here is 51% (PNW).  I'm sure its a bit higher in the house though.  They have had protruding fruits from there colonizing holes about 2 days ago, sitting in one of my closets with ambient light.

I've been fruiting lion's mane on my deck for almost two months now. They love it! humidity ranges from 50-98 and temps from 50-100. Can you put em outside?

Would love to, but not possible where I am at right now.  Probably closer to humidity of 60 or so in the house, temps of 70ish.  I'll just go for it, and give them as much fresh air as I can.  Was just kinda doing a test run till I get my auto greenhouse stuff back.
