How to get parents on a healthy lifestyle?

I am really starting to see the effects of old age on my parents. they have less energy, complain of headaches here and there. They get the flu more often etc. How do I approach them about diet/exercise changes? They hate working out, but they both love low impact yoga and walking. I don't want to come off as cocky, but its really just honest. Their diet is a complete wreck I know they both complain about these ailments, but I just hate to see them so weak. Its not that old age scares me. It is part of life. But I see them aging too fast, while complaining about their health, and having serious misunderstandings about what constitutes a healthy diet They both think that they are eating a healthy diet yet they both fail to realize its a disaster. Its not like I am shoving my opinions down their throat; they realize it as well. They just need a little knowledge

Lead by example I think is the only true way, since theyl have to want to change. Also don't nag them, people dont like naggers.

All you can do is live your life the way you would expect them to and hope they see enough of a benefit in you to want to make that change themselves. A lot of people don't want to change their habits. People make those choices in the first place because it benefits them in way that makes them happy. Show them they can be happier instead of telling them.
My father smokes. He's had a heart attack and a stroke from acute carbon monoxide poisoning. He also used to be a heavy drinker and occasional drug user, mostly coke and acid. His body has aged as much as his mind. He's 53 and has lung, BP, short term memory, and anxiety issues. I do not nag him about his choices to not exercise much, or the way he eats, or the fact that he smokes. I love him for who is and if he smokes I'm simply glad he has something that makes him happy and grounded.

u do it ever so subtle, like how women communicate with men.
bring em a salad every once in a while, just say "here ya go" and nothing else. if they throw it away do it again tommorow. share with them ur diet, but keep the words short to almost none, they'll eventually learn to love it cuz they'll notice the differences in the way they feel.

I've been down that road friend....
All you can do is live the example, because I've found the harder you push it on them the deeper they dig their grave.
Focus on your own body, seeking to improve another's is not beneficial from my experience.
I'm glad you're eating good, I bet you feel bomb AF.
-------------------- We are here to assist, to teach you to evolve as we go through this process together. We give our own version of things only to bring you to a higher consciousness. No matter what situation you find yourself in, it is the power of your thoughts that got you there. It is also the impeccable belief that thought creates that will transform your experience and the planetary existence.

Tell them they should self medicate with LSD and street drugs instead of going to their doctor.
-------------------- Taking acid and thinking you are a better man is a lot different then actually becoming a better man.
