http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/more-sports/ex-tennis-star-james-blake-mistakenly-tackled-white-cops-article-1.2353983
"Retired black tennis star James Blake, was slammed to a Manhattan sidewalk and handcuffed in a brutal case of mistaken identity"
"The 35 year-old Blake, once ranked NO. 4 in the world, suffered a cut to his left elbow and bruises to his left leg as five plainclothes cops eventually held him for 15 minutes"
"Blake, on his way to make a corporate appearance for Time Warner Cable at the US Open said, none of the cops identified themselves, including the officer who charged straight at him and bounced him off the E. 42nd concrete around noon."
Here's a real example of an innocent man getting assault by law enforcement for no reason and the unnecessary force used to detain him, horrible police work to say the least.
For the record, I'm a huge tennis fan and have had a lot of respect for Blake throughout the years, it's a very unfortunate that this happened to such a good guy.

Those poor police officers, they should not have to put their lives at risk by touching a passive and cooperative assailant. It was clearly his fault for not being white. These officers are trained properly and deserve an award. Please do not tell me any different or I may have a snappy irrelevant comeback about how awesome and infallible the police force is.

Enough of the sarcasm, this was a REAL instance of police misconduct.
Blake never had a chance to be non-compliant like the retards you defend, he was a true victim in this case, why can't you tell the difference between someone acting like an a defiant asshole and an innocent man being brutalized by law enforcement?

I don't see what your problem is. Their job is to uphold the law. That's what they were doing, it's not their fault they had the wrong guy. He should have been black somewhere else and he would have been fine.

Oh I see it, make a case for MISTAKEN IDENTITY and police MISCONDUCT about racism, you're so original.
Do you know that the victim in this case addresses this issue for what it is, why can't you?

That's because he looked like the suspect. He was named by the victim. I really think you should take a long hard look and examine the real issue here, and that issue here is you have an inherent disrespect for the police force. These dutiful police were concerned for a citizen and reacted in a way that got results. What if he ran? Cops don't need to run in the line of duty, it is simply smarter to be preventative and in the end they did their job properly. They were even nice to him and reassured him by telling him he was in good hands. It's not the cop's fault he was injured, again the man should have looked differently and there wouldn't have been an issue. How would you solve this? More training? Would you prefer we militarize our police force? No, clearly they are properly trained, they have everything under control and you're too involved in judging them unfairly that you can't see that.

I have a hard time stomaching all this police hate too. Someone needs to stand up for them since they can't do it themselves.

I felt bad for the guy until I read that.

Some in the NYPD think what happened is just fine. http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/10/us/tennis-james-blake-tackled-by-nypd/
"Was the force used inappropriate? The initial review is we believe it may not have been, said NYPD Chief of Detectives, Robert Boyce"

The only solution is to create ombudsman police-force that polices the police and treats them brutal as fuck for any infractions they make. And life sentences if they kill any of the ombudsman. Fear is the only language so many of these pigs speak.

Well, thats not right.. They need to acknowledge that one of their officers messed up. But if the tennis player wants to pull the race card, I just lose sympathy. Can it not just be a case of excessive force rather then excessive force by a racist white police officer against a helpless black man?
