Denmark has lower taxes?
I'd love to see the income tax rates of those nations compared to ours, and even then I'd be hard pressed to believe you'd rather live in any of those places, save maybe Denmark, over the US.

What nation with lower taxes is doing better than the United States?
I'm talking debt to GDP, crime, healthcare, median annual income, education.
I think the lower taxes part is self explanatory.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Norway#Personal_income_tax
Quote:
Ordinary income (alminnelig inntekt), which consists of all taxable income (wages, pensions, business income, taxable share income and other income) minus deductions (losses, debt interest, etc.), is taxed at a flat rate of 28%. In 2010, the tax on "ordinary income" is split in a local tax (kommunale skattøre) of 12.80%, a regional tax (fylkeskommunale skattøre) of 2.65% and a tax to the central government (fellesskatt) of 12.55%.[11]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Norway#Taxation_of_petroleum_activities
Quote:
The taxation of petroleum activities is based on the rules governing ordinary business taxation. There is considerable excess return (resource rent) associated with the extraction of oil and gas. Therefore a special tax of 51% on income from petroleum extraction has been introduced, in addition to the ordinary income tax of 27%. Consequently, the marginal tax rate on the excess return within the petroleum sector is 78%.[16]
norway does have lower taxes (on everyone except the petroleum industry)

28% flat tax is a lot more than we pay in the US, which averages about 17%.

The fools who let the bums flood their country are pulling back the welcome mat. They are sealing borders, blocking bridges, stopping trains. They can't take anymore. But our home grown fools want them over here. As long as someone else pays for it of course. Right fail?

Israel has closed borders, yet they tell us maintaining a closed border with Mexico is impossible.

maybe so, but a flat 28% is significantly lower than the top marginal income tax rate in the U.S. (39.6%)

That's only for people making over a half million dollars.
Norway has a surtax for the rich that puts their tax rate at 40% for earnings over $90,000.
Taxation in Norway
The point is that countries with lower tax rates don't seem to do as well.

Fail, you seem to be the one calling for more bums to be let in.
Now this nonsense

Countries that spend their taxes wisely do better, I think that's what you were trying to say. Of course with obumble at the helm, we throw it all down a rathole. You and the other loony leftists put him in charge so you don't have to look far for someone to blame. Hint: its not shrub.

That was phred's rule from long ago. Someone must still feel the butt hurt. Does that mean any and all name calling and/or insults are fully banned? No, because some on your side of the fence would be hit hard by that.

Can you show me where I supported it? I'm actually not in favor of it (though I haven't said that until now). I was simply making fun of conservatives for their incredible cowardice for letting a few Syrian refugees in. I'm in Amsterdam right now, and on my way to the airport, I had fun joking with my Uber driver. At the end of the drive, I found out she was from Syria. She was very happy to be in the US, and I'm fairly certain she's not here to blow people up. If I'm wrong, we'd probably know by now.
