Hello you beautiful people! I am writing this to you as my first day cigarette free (coming to an end anyway). Yesterday whilst browsing on here I came across another guy's post enquiring about quitting smoking and somebody else (I would love to remember the usernames) saying that it's about "not wanting another cigarette". Flipping the switch from wanting a cig to not wanting a cig. As simple as that right? Well no... I mean it is as simple as telling yourself "no I don't want a cig" and just not having one, but relieving the craving another way is something else... I guess that's something I'll have to figure out as the days go on, cause it's only going to get more difficult I imagine.
Anyway, some reasons I've decided to quit smoking:
I hate that smell after you've smoked on your fingers I hate the way I feel after I've had a cig.. almost a dirty feeling Knowing that it is pretty much one of the worst things you can do to yourself over a duration of time. whether that be days, months or years...
I've tried quitting smoking before, making it a few days and on one occasion 2 weeks (I believe) so Idk how this is actually going to go, but we'll see.
Anyway, how many of you guys have quit smoking and if you would, advise me? Anything you did to help? I started working out today. Not with weights, just pushups, situps, dips and all that. I figured if I'm gonna quit smoking I best take up something else. Also I think my girlfriend would be waaayyyy more attracted to e if I had just a BIT of muscle.. so yeah, gonna be doing that in the mornings and before bed xD
Thanks guys!

Heavy smoker here. E cig works wonders for killing urge. I think most important phrase is one is too much and a thousand isn't enough. I know few people who can only smoke in social settings or when they drink. I'd say go cold turkey but eh to each their own.

If you have an addiction as serious as mine, E-cigs is the only way. When I say serious I would rage for no reason whatsoever at any person anywhere near me, start shaking and my eyes would bulge if I didn't have a cigaret for 3 hours. No cravings at all since starting using vapes. Good luck man tobacco is a killer and life destroyer in so many ways.

By the time you finish the pouch switch to ecigs. That's what I've noticed to be a really good way to quit smoking cigs. Most people I know who try and quit cold turkey just end up buy another pack and are back on the bandwagon for months until the "try" to quit again. Just a thought.
thats actually exactly what i did about a week ago.

I smoke weed, so I'm probs gonna buy a pax or something. Can't be rolling joints anymore with the tobacco - no point in that. Not that I put much tobacco in anyway, I roll half a gram to a joint, so not much tobacco needed :L
Also, I find when I'm stoned, I'm way less inclined to smoke anyway. All my friends smoke cigs between joints and I'm there "what are you doing?" :L

i did the bugler method for about a week then just went to my could chasing rig indefinitely
I strongly suggest you start dabbing brother. when you quit smoking you really need to QUIT SMOKING! dabbin is the way to go and will help clear your lungs of the black shit. i'm still coughin it up

Yeah I was just having a cigarette looking at my pile of nasty butts and thinking that it might be time to finally give it up I don't want to switch to an e-cig they always make me feel a bit sickly and just keep my addiction going long enough to go back to smoking. I'm a fairly light smoker, which is better I guess than smoking a ton, but it's still bullshit, and I do worry about suffering when I'm older because of it.
