I know man I am definitely going to do the cubes for a while. Just wondering because I came across them in my research and I figured I would ask you guys about them instead of just believing the hype that I was reading. So what do you guys think have you tried them are they your preference? Cleaner, clearer, different? Let me know guys

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't really answer my question. What does everybody else think? In the mean time I will study up on those 405 pages.

That's what they say. Stones and cubes together are great, imo.

What "everyone else thinks" is in there - see the reason for this thread in the first place is because this topic has been discussed a thousand times already, and a good deal of that is in here. Don't "study" it, just page through it and read the interesting bits. Besides your question is unclear - have people tried what? What do you mean by "cleaner, clearer, different?" Most people are going to say all cubes are the same but different species are different, but then some people (like me) are going to say strains differ as well, every single grow has the potential to be different, and it's all part of the journey.
Quote:
Yeah it does suck he didn't order anything better. But he didn't know any better and I think it is easy to believe the hype on some of the sites. Do you think they will be any good? I have been doing some more research and saw another strain or variety called pan cyan what do you guys think about these in comparison to cubensis? And what about the Azurescens? Also do you guys have a good recipe for what I should all use in my jars for substrate or is there a good thread you could point me in the direction of?
You mean the keeper "strains"? They are just relabels of ordinary cubes. They grow like cubes, fruit like cubes, act like cubes, nothing wrong with that - spores are little genetic packages of innate goodness and they don't give a shit about some label somebody stuck on them.
If you want to grow woodlovers (azures, ps. cyan, pan cyan) learn to grow cubes first. Less chance of failure. If you want to grow stones they're fucking easy though - I have some maturing in my cupboard - just shoot spores into grain and leave them be.
And FWIW there are NO crosses of species out there no matter what stupid ass names somebody has come up with to part noobs from their money with. Just FWIW.

And one other thing, don't be lazy, use the search function to find information. Enjoy the experience.

I wanted to grow combodians next, but everyone says that they are either a "speedy" trip or a "super visual" trip. I don't want the speedy trip. I like downers, not uppers.
What turns me on about penis envy and texans is that the PE are very thick stemmed and weigh a lot, though they yield less than texans. I'm interested in texans because they don't have much water weight, are thick stemmed like PE, but only they grow pretty densely.
Cambodians are amazing!! 0.0 I do feel like the trip is a slight bit different BUT in a happy, awesome way. Theyre just usually pretty potent. And have a very interesting feel. Not to say other strains dont, just saying cambos are always worth working with
My most hellish trips have been on Cambodians, with visions of my flesh rotting off my bones and parasitic worms crawling out of every orifice.

its called the foulness of the body, buddhism, insight into the nature of impermanence, non-self, suffering
u must have some connection with vipassana meditation from your past life, that experience is transforming the mind
that specific experience of rotting flash worms and so on related to suffering, when u understand to insight u realize non-self on a deeper level

yea when u are on an intensive silent retreat it gets pretty intense, u are pretty much loosing ur sanity. as the mindfulness and concentration builds up to the level that u can see through these we meditate 16-18-20 hrs a day no interactions with others no reading no writing only meditation 1hour walking 1 hour sitting from 5 in the morning until u fall asleep breakfast at 7 lunch at 12, no dinner as u go on with the practice less and less sleep is required, for a healthy man 3 hrs sleep is enough
