Nausea from Mushrooms

Was wondering if anyone had any methods to help reduce or eliminate the nausea caused from mushrooms. The past 3 times I have tried to take mushrooms I have thrown up after experiencing intense nausea for a good 30+ min.
I use to tell myself to just fight through it and had mind over matter but now it actually causes the gag reflex and makes me puke. I don't take mushrooms that often but I have noticed each time gets worse.
I have only ever made tea, I'm not consuming any mushroom matter, I just tried gingeroot tea as well my last trip but had no effect still puked.
I enjoy mushrooms but am starting to steer away from them as the nausea almost makes it not worth it to trip cannabis does help but sometimes I still puke, I never use to experience nausea like this so wondering what is different?

Idk if it'll help, but try eating an Orange after drinking the tea. I noticed it seemed to help my stomach on Ayahuasca the other day. Aside from that you could perhaps try out 4-ACO-DMT, i tried it last night for the first time, absolutely no nausea.

I never use to though which is the weird thing. I've tripped probably 10 times before it started to notice extreme nausea on the come ups, I'm taking lower doses than I use to as well, so maybe I'm just not getting propelled into the trip hard enough for me to forget about it I guess, or say the trip isn't as moving for me to exclude the nausea as such a factor

Maybe the mushrooms weren't dried 100%, and there could be a tiny bit of mold growing on them from residual moisture, which explains why you got sick after eating them.

Ginger helps with nausea quite a bit. Get some crystallized ginger or ginger candies or something.
Have you tried tea? I get little to no nausea from tea.

Nausea is the worst! And it sucks to have it during a trip. I used to get more often in the past when I was learning how to correctly take mushrooms. I get nausea less often now mainly because I am very conscious of it and take steps to prevent it.
Empty Stomach - Always wait for 4+ hours after you eat. In a pinch, 3 hours can work but nothing less.
Tea - I drink hot mint or ginger tea about 10 minutes before I take my sacrament.
Drink your magic slowly - take a good 10 minutes to consume it. Take small sips, don't chug it. This helps reduce the gas build up in your stomach.
Keep some Pepto handy - It sucks when all of the other steps still aren't enough to prevent the nausea. I keep some of the pink stuff handy just in case. Take it at the first sign of nausea and it will help smooth the ride out.
Peace!

I usually get some uncomfortable stomach sensations when tripping. I have never puked though.
For me I think its psychosomatic
Stress and/or fear manifest themselves very strongly in my stomach. For me anxiety and nausea go hand in hand.
Whether its mushrooms (fresh, dry, tea, capsules) or LSD I have the same sort of nausea. I think its connected to the solar plexus nerve conglomerate. This is also the supposed location of the 3rd chakra.
I try to trick the mind by affecting the physical body (ginger, fasting, mint tea etc) but deep down I believe it to be about the chemical compounds themselves and unwillingness to let go completely.

Yes definitely empty stomach is the main point to keep in mind, but the ultimate trick is to extract the psilocybin, im trying it soon my self and we will see

Mushrooms are hard to digest due to their cell walls You maybe allergic to mushrooms You may have some inner ear issues that cause nausea (motion sickness) You maybe a puker
So... Advice 1) try making tea... Add mushrooms to a cup of boiling water that has a little lemon or vinegar, remove from heat, wait 20 minute... Strain and drink and 2) make some ginger tea... Two cups of water, 4 slices of fresh ginger, boil 10 minutes, add 2 tbls of honey, sip on the come up. Or 3) try a different species of psilocybin containing mushroom or 4) take a Dramamine 1 hr prior to ingesting mushrooms or 5) eat dried mushrooms covered in honey or 6) eat mushrooms on an empty stomach but eat with a small sandwich 7) try a Benadryl an hour before tripping
I would try the tea and ginger tea first... Helps most folks
Essential lemon oil helps some too
Peace

I find that if i chew the fruits whole i will have nausea, so i started chopping them up real fine with a knife beforehand and it helps with digestion alot. Also dont eat any greasy food a couple days prior then on the day of only have a light breakfast, eat the shrooms then have a small meal immediatly after. I prefer eating an apple orange or yogurt right after, seems to aid in digestion.

I feel like most of you just read the title and not what I wrote..
I have never eaten mushroom particle, I have always made tea, I never use to get nausea to the point of puking, I usually take higher doses too. I've tried ginger just my last trip with no good effect, I fasted for 12 hours every time, I always use lemon, but recently the past 3 times I have tried to make tea I have puked 2 of them and 1 I just saved myself by smoking cannabis, it gets to the point where your lip is twitching and stuff the nausea gets intense and lasts for 40 minutes to an hour of intense pain not being able to move just waiting for it to be over, but it gets to the point where you know you're about to gag. This never use to happen to me, always very mild nausea.
It's not like I'm taking mushrooms too frequently either about once every 6 months.
I don't know what's up with the puking recently but I have tried everything recommended to reduce it, I really don't even want to take mushrooms anymore because of the nausea on come up is a big part of the trip when it never use to be. Maybe I can take some pepto before along with CBD to reduce comeup anxiety along with eat something right after to aid digestion.
Also my doses are lower like I said so maybe I'm just noticing it more as I don't come up as quickly as on a higher dose which propels me into the trip these lower doses I basically fade into the peak drifting from nausea slowly

Well I'd suggest eating a light meal 30-40 minutes before drinking the tea. It'll slow down the absorption. I feel like the nausea is probably from the actives instantly rushing into you blood stream.
Some people do better with a light meal beforehand.

Like I wrote before. I dont think its the mushroom substance itself. I have off course only myself to go by but I believe pure psylocybin would give me the exact same sensations.
LSD gives me the exact same nausea. Each wave of tripping is initiated in my stomach

Do you fast with LSD? It could be you light headed by the sudden rush of tripping and the lack of food?
But it sounds psychosomatic. Some people just experience nausea from psychedelics. Maybe take some sort of nausea medicine?

I always do to some degree. When I first started using it I took a daylong fast. Now I can eat some. I never trip with a full stomach though.
Acid especially seems to just lock up all gastro-intestinal activity during the peak hours. The true comedown is usually blasted off with a huge fart of relief

I don't usually get nausea from mushrooms unless they are low quality - rotting etc.
But whenever I get nausea for any other reason, I eat GIN-GINS by "the ginger people" with 16% ginger content. They work for me.

Yeah I'm guessing the only real reason would be psychosomatic, I was very anxious on the come up like I always am, every other single one of my trips I've done it the same way and I've never tried LSD to see if that causes me nausea. The nausea is INTENSE, straight to the point of puking, I can clearly remember my previous trips where there was no nausea involved or very little, but every time now it has been so intense, and I can't find anything to help, I want to try a large dose but am scared it will be worse nausea because there's more of the drug to digest. I think my mushroom days are over because I don't want to attempt another trip and have to throw up again!

Don't see any difference in that than tea with lemon. I've done lemon tek in the past and drank the mushroom particles with little to zero nausea, its just different now i get super sick every time

Could just be the mushroom gods giving the message they don't want you eating mushrooms
Honestly... Keep in mind this forum can be read by others, so answers that are general may help others who search the topic... So don't hate on people who are trying to help
Anyway... Have a friend who uses essential lemon oil to reduce nausea
Ginger tea works well for me... Tea with honey is best
Good luck with it In the future!!
