question about using agar to test my brew?

Can someone explain to me a good way to test out a brew that can make many syringes so that I can make sure the brew is not contaminated? Is agar a good way to go, and how fast can u see the results? Thanks

Id try an agar plate, but to keep the contamination and bacteria low id dry the spores out of the water. Make sure theyre still hydrated but dont put any additional H20 on the plate with them, just the spores. Ive seen plates get contaminated much more frequently when the spores are put on in solution! Let me know how it goes though

try putting it on agar, but id do about 3 plates. make sure theyre all done with as much sterility as possible, if they all get similar mold then its gotta be ur brew. If one or two get contams but they look diff then ur good to go. Thats probably the quickest way to check. if u wanna be sure do a few more plates, the more the better.

If you incubate em properly (keep them warm and dark) you can see results in 2 days or it could be a week, but it should be fairly quick. Obviously the more u put on a plate the better but you shouldnt need more then 2 or 3 ccs. Also try and drop it right in the middle as sometimes the glass or plastic on the edges can have an effect on the growth. Good luck and pm me when its through to let me know how it goes!

depends how good ur sterility is, ive heard anywhere from 2 months to pretty much forever. As a general rule i say half a year or less, otherwise your asking for trouble! and dont worry bout the q's thats what we're here for. Plus im bored and have nothin else to do while i watch TV lol!
