So I put a cap to print last night, just like a would a cube cap and this morning it looked like this:

Slimey and a faint smell to it. I'm thinking something bacterial caused it to happen? I did drop the cap in the FC, could that have caused it? Or could there be something up with the grow in general? I have more caps printing this morning, so will see how the turn out after work.

Nothing pic worthy, pasty, but had some good clone opportunities. Used faht's laymixing tek and there were lots of dense clusters. Maybe too dense. Nothing boring about the trip with these, though. They mix so well with cyans that I will keep growing them and get my feel for cubes back.

Wow that cap got gross. Gotta be bacteria.
I wish I liked tripping more often, there’s so many types and mixes I’ve got lined up to test. Hopefully hitting the desert Saturday for the fireball meteors with a pan/tamp mix dose.

These are Blue Spring T1’s from the best of 9 germ plates. http:// Blue Springs T2
Blue Springs T2

Most everything I’m seeing is much lighter or not as thick as the wild coast I have. It seems it’s also a bit slower too but I really don’t know. These are all 7 days old today. I have kept these at 71-73 deg. I tried to get good pics. It’s so light that’s why I made agar with food coloring. Any suggestions on what to pursue out of these??

the botom 2 look ok but i wouldnt ise that top one for anything
7 days seems kinda slow but that could just be the temp they r kept in. id put the middle one to grain and see what comes of it and the bottom one maybe take another cpl transfers and see if it looks a lil better

Awesome, I will be turning my tent on in the next few days. It tested well but a real tray is the best test. It is inspired by your design. Different stuff same principle. I’m so freaking excited for the new year. I can’t cook anything until tomorrow, boss said. But we are making an extra stop by the grain store, found organic rye and millet just a few mins away. I better ask if they got hpoo too. 1 stop shop can it get that good??

Sorry it’s taken me a while to get anywhere with them, I got lots of invitro clones but kept having issues getting them on grain. Last bag I tried had a pinhole. I finally got a couple Super EzLC coming up with Koh chang clones looking healthy. Plan to inoculate them this afternoon.

Natedawgnow over in cult general suggest the cap could have come in contact with iso, which is actually a really good shout as I didn't wipe down the tub I placed over the cap. There was liquid on the foil, which I had assumed was water but in hindsight it could have easily been iso that dripped down.

I've got syringes, not prints. A couple different kinds - jams, aussies, sandose, and bisporus. Last couple times I've germinated new spores (on my standard-issue 2% MEA), they've been more sparse and slower growing than when I first got them, if I can get them to grow at all (struck out entirely the last couple times with the jams and the sandose - those might be lost causes). The aussies I've got to grow on agar but don't seem to want to leap off to grains, and the bisporus I can get to grow out on grains and colonize a substrate but the damned things just will never seem to fruit.
Pretty damned frustrating - at this point, I've had dozens of different attempts and followed every reputable tek on this forum, and other than a half dozen aborted jam pins 6 months ago, nothing at all to speak of. That's why I figure it must just be the spores I'm working with: if they were still good, I should've just by random chance gotten something to grow by now. And when I first got them the spores were definitely more lively, but I just didn't have my methods in good shape back then (e.g., I was still trying to substitute black kow for proper manure).
