I don’t think they are very photogenic 🤣 I harvested these but as I did I got the sense they could have matured a while longer. That is obvious for the ones with caps not fully open but even the caps that were fully open they seemed very sturdy like they had some growing to do.
I took about 15 prints ...

Nice. They do look like Wild Coast. Specially that thick gnarly stripe under the caps (top right corner in the pic). I've noticed that in most of my Wild Coast fruits. Unfurtunatly this is the only Pic I have from that grow.

Yeah the top of the stipe was similar and coloring was similar too (but a little browner). The caps were not as rounded as my lost coast though. I’ll have to see what the second flush looks like and also try another germination to get a sense of the range of phenotypes.

That is one cute setup! Great work!
With Bisporus it's a hit or miss. Mine takes over a month to pin, the fruits are sporadic and they are WAY less massive than Cyans. Just not worth it except outdoor summer grows for aesthetics and fun. Next summer I'm trying outdoor Cyans as well, in a flowerpot. Can't wait.

We got the same here. About 5-6 inches but huge drifts. I just got dug out.

Checked on this bag 24 hours after I shook it up. The wait and anticipation to see if things are healthy. It’s torture! All the time and work that goes into this hobby, I had no idea what I signed up for. But it’s too late, I love the pain.

This is probably the biggest I've had.

These are about normal size.

What do you guys think of these grains?
(This is am unnocc'd jar btw)
Same prep I use for cubes but the pans seem to be really slow on them, like cube speed. I have 2 jars colonising one at 25/26°c and the other at 22/23°c
I know there's loads of burst ones but I rinse all the starch off with hot water and then leave to dry before loading. Just can't seem to get a decent spawn jar with the pans. This same batch of grains is looking good with 2 cubes varieties and a woodlover though. Don't have pics of the cultures atm, next one to germ I'll post tho

It has cracked corn and other stuff and everything looks too wet. Can't you get plain wheat?

Probably can, just haven't tried. I've been using this brand, with cubes, since I started with good results, so I never thought to change it. How can you tell they're too wet? There isn't visible moisture in the jar or are you looking at how swollen the grains are? Thanks for your input btw, keen to get this right.

You are going to have to bare with me as this is my first time with this species and I'm over excited! But holy shit, they've grown considerably since this morning! I think I'm going to pick the most mature fruit to print from. I won't get time to do it until tomorrow evening otherwise and I'm worried it'll be too far gone by then.

If pressure cooked long enough those should still be fine. Shake up the grains so the moisture can spread.
