I had 2 cinct grain masters left over from february. they were never cold stored, so as u can see, the top dried out a lot (a 3/4" GE holes doesn't necessarily help either :P), and the mass shrunk creating a space btw the jar and grains.

was bored the other day and sterilized some manure. g2g'd a jar into it, and believe it or not, 6 days later, its done.

I'm going to case it later and put it into a tub. i've only ever gotten these guys to push out 4-5 mushrooms when I tried them before. hoping this one does better.

Blinding leaf...I'm verrrrry interested in this project, I have been harvesting these all summer and really want to work with them, but from what I've read on here they are very finicky. Since I'm just starting with cubes, I figured it was best to gain some experience before taking on such a challenging shroom.

user "sporulator" has a nice grow of these. they do seem temperamental.
the most i've gotten was something like this:

d0urd3n these spores were from you. I swiped some more the other day, and just transferred this morning. they germinate faster than any other species I worked with except maybe gymnopolis.
my buddy cloned a wild one from around my way. his plates were clean from what I could tell, but when I looked at his G2 the other day, it looks like yeast, so maybe it was hiding out. i was hoping to get some more lines just to run out, so hopefully if he spawns outside, it will do something. he's got me all hype about the trip, but he's also a little crazy and could be exaggerating
I also have a print from "olive" and thats from australia or NZ….but I never even opened it yet.

I have an outdoor bed set up, that is doing excellent!!!
I just harvested some cincts that turned blue at the base last night.

I was following macmerdin's projects, but will definitely check out sporulator later!
I've also heard rave reviews about the cinct experience, I think I will be indulging tonight with about 11 grams using innocule's tea tek.

Glad to hear I'd BL! Those prints are probably like 2 years old by now too!
Mine germinated super fast as well. Mine looks surprisingly clean, and haven't even taken a T1 yet.

Macmerdin is definitely the man! I really wanna use his poo-cakes tek soon. But I'm a little overwhelmed with jars already right now, haha, but in due time I will be running with the Poo cakes!

Ahhhh shiiiiiit!!! That's really cool dude, DEFINITELY makes me even more motivated. I will no doubt be referencing your expertise!
I know cincts aren't strong, but it would be soooo cool to domesticate a local wild strain, that I myself collected! Doesn't get any better then that IMO.

well I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I appreciate it
I agree on the cinct, would be cool to get a domesticated line for indoor

Yeah ok!!! You saying your not an expert is like Hillary saying she's not a global criminal!!!
I'm not nearly experienced enough to actually domesticate a line. I would assume that is the result of many many isolates. Which I'm assuming would take a really long time...Probably best left to the pros...such as yourself haha!

I see you taped up that mini SGFC a bit.
Good idea. My SGFC doesn't stay humid enough even though it's to spec. Killed off my pan bisporus grow before they got decent size. They just ended up small and immature because they dried out. Even with daily misting. At least I got a decent pinset with those.

I wouldn't care except it's a bitch to germ. Threw some more spores on agar. Maybe in a month or two it will germ for me... Seems like how it usually goes.

Yeah soft agar. Not while hot though. I will try that if this doesn't work.

Has anyone had any luck germinating 5+ year old spores from a wild specimen? I have a Swiss strain of Panaeolus cyanescens I have been meaning to grow, but never found the time. I live pretty near where they were found as well, so I was considering fruiting outdoor when the weather is right.
