Have you tried this mix with cubes or even oysters?
FYI, I got 2 quart sized jars perfectly full using 35 grams of each (peat moss, millet, verm and straw) and 130-135 grams boiling water.
Fingers crossed!

Like I said, other mosses have worked.
haha that's cool, like I said this thread is about growing pans in the best way possible, not examining the ethics of the materials used!

It is just casing after all. I'd imagine that if the ph is right you'd be able to at least get fruits. Maybe there's something else out there for you that we don't know about yet.

Since I'm gettin hammered by these gnats, I zoomed in and saw that speck on the cap and nearly freaked out! I guess it is just a bit of random casing...
BEAUTIFUL shot and beautiful fruits!

I got another delivery this weekend. Well several things came in but the one that got me excited was Parafilm. So I swabbed 3 plates with blue springs to try it out. Wow! Well worth the money. Love it. I got a couple good plates of wild coast to put in a broth once the jar gaskets I ordered get here tomorrow. Going to be a boring day today. Nothing for me to do but read on here. I’m a very impatient person so this hobby is a great way to remedy that. Have a great day!

Would just a handful of dry horse poo for good measure make any difference? Just enough for nutes, but not to stink up the house?

I just switched from Spinosad to BT. We’ll see if the mycelium tolerates it any better or if it kills gnat larva any better!
