How often can one trip without having diminished effects with pans? Is it the same like cubes? Does that darkness lessen?

I don't know. I don't trip hard that often so it's always strong to me.
Lighter doses like 1g seem to be more pleasant all throughout.

Have you ever grown a cambo or cyan tray that was super weak though? It’s gotta be possible right?

Nah never weak. I've been running cyans since 2015 and never disappointed. I suppose it could happen.

Estero on straw / alpaca-manure:

The tray is about 30cm wide in the long side. Quite happy with this result considering it is only my third tray. Most of them seem sporeless though.

One thing I did with this tray is that it had a double casing. The original one grew over (not white thick overlay, just normal growth because of timing issues). So I put another casing over that and put into fruiting. It definitely made bigger fruits than my first Estero tray with normal casing. But that could also be because I'm just learning by doing how to better dial them in.

In search of Dragons

Hey folks back on page 804, Jake posted some Pans from a wild specimen collected on the island of Komodo (famous for its dragons). Did any of you get a print? If so did you happen to print any more?
They have a really cool looking cap! I’d love to grow some. Shoot me a PM if you have a Komodo print to spare. I’m sure I can find somethings around here to offer in trade.

Out of interest why is a casing mix of 50/50 peat moss/verm prefered over say just a pure verm casing??

Got a small, aquarium heater and pc fan FC on the go now, which is keeping it's temps stable ~25-27C. I hope my trays didn't get fucked by dropping to 14C before setting up this FC...

I'm going to keep them in the FC while other grows are ready to lay out.

I think the moss is providing nutrients and the verm is providing moisture

I thought the point of casing was that it doesn't provides nutrients??

:whathesaid:

I'm not sure. But I think peat has very low nutrients or close to none.

My guess is the peat is a good texture? just verm seems to get a little clumpy?

Meh, I never said it was a lot of nutrients but it still provides some. That's why we aren't casing with cotton balls, if it was just moisture anything would work. Until someone's showing me all this undigested verm and peat I'm not buying that it doesn't provide at least some energy for the fungus

Yeah the Komodo went fast vendors are out also, I should have them available before too long. they are coming up on Grain now I finally found a new source of manure that I’m pretty excited about so shouldn’t be long. But that is The only strain I have released that I have not yet seen someone else grow and post pics of.
