I don't know, Phony, but it sounds like you are volunteering to run some tests I'm full up on experiments right now.

My understanding when I researched temperature impacts on potency was that drying above 140F is advised because the naturally occurring enzymes which break down psilocin are denatured/deactivated by heat above 140.
My pan cyan dried at 145F are plenty potent.

I just put them in those storage containers that have a rubber gasket on them. But I never keep anything older than 2 months or so I think most here are aiming for steady fresh coming in.

I had some jams that I put in the dehydrator and then into a small plastic bag with a desiccant pack and they were still laying people out six months later.
It’s extremely dry here which helps but I really wouldn’t worry about potency with pans.

Any repeats from friends, Aka? All of mine did 2g and never want to do them again. Or they tell me they'll wait until the next mid-life crisis.

I gave them all 2g so they could each do it twice but they ignored my warnings I tried.

Asura, what is the reason you go agar > LC instead of agar > straight grain spawn?

Because that's how I learned from Blue Helix's grows and that's what I am chasing. May 2021 be the year!

lol yeah but mine all followed my advice of .75-1g max the first time.
A couple like to do 1.3-1.5g now. I’ve still never had a deep pans trip but that’s coming. So far I’ve been sticking to the .5-.8 range.

This is interesting do you have any links to the source? I run my dehydrator at 115 for 8 hrs they are cracker dry after that, then I store in glass jars with dryer packs in a stable dark place.
I'm impressed you all can go through them so fast... I gotta start tripping more I have way too many mushrooms

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25956433#25956433 Seems to have a bunch of quotes from trusted cultivators, and even a link to a deep fried cubes recipes, lol.
One quote says 160-170. another says 140. My takeaway was dry them as high as your dehydrator goes.
My first trip on my only pan cyan grow(so far) was on 2g and holy shit, it was too much, some setting issues didn't help. I've worked back up to around 1.2g since then and planning to do 1.5 or maybe 2g again here soon. I've generally found that pans are still a much less comfortable trip for me vs cubes, more anxiety/ADHD/jittery/resistance. Recent trip on 5g of cubes was a walk in the park in comparison to that 2g trip. My GF loves the pans though, not sure she has gone above 1g yet, but she's tiny and has always had a lower threshold.
I'm with you on how to go through them. Ended up with something like 50 grams dry and even tripping every two weeks it's like a years supply.
Finally getting my grow going again, will be fruiting some tamps and then probably doing some more pans in a month or so. Been lurking but hope to have more to share soon.
