I've been casing and waiting a day on the last few runs. It doesn't seem to hurt the timeline. Still getting pins around the 5 day mark.
What I've been thinking about is trying a casing that's basically 25% peat, 25% coir and 50% verm. I want something that holds water at the surface better.

What? No one has grown these yet? That's crazy. These guys just want to fruit for you. Yeah there's the super-sized mutant fruits, but the normal sized fruits are just beautiful. One of the prettiest I've ever seen. Can hardly wait to run them again in the new FC.

With pan cambos on agar are you for the same traits as pan cyans? Fast, whispy growth, and plenty of momentum? I had some neglected germ plates that I just took some transfers from, not holding my breath and did it more out of curiosity.

Yeah but the Cambos had the thickest myc out of the three I’ve grown so far, it almost looked like cube myc sometimes.

Oh nice, I didn't have high hopes for the myc as it was much thicker than the cyans I have going. Maybe something will come from them.

Finally got around to spawning three trays of pans tonight. The grain had been colonized for about two weeks already! Two are clones - one of the RDU and one of the Pan Cyan Hawaiian Rainbow Eucalypt. The other was a MS Pan Cambodia Jamaican from a print from JCM. Fingers crossed on all of them. Hoping I can clear out these damned gnats before I put them into fruiting!

Did you let them consolidate on purpose?

Good luck, Psilo. My RDU refuses to fruit. Second attempt on those. jcm's cambo's are nice. Big fruits and no issues at all. Easy fruiter.

I don’t know if this matters since I only grew them once so far... I cased the RDU a bit too early - it had only just finished colonizing. Then it took almost two weeks to start pinning.

Good to know! I still have the tray in fruiting and it hasn't been close to 2 weeks so here's hoping.

My Cyan clone. Not liking the relatively cold conditions, but the pinset is okay I guess. Grows very slowly too.

Under it there's a heat bomb set at 27°C

And here are the results

Hey guys!
I would be looking through the marketplace if I had access but unfortunately I still have some time before I can get in there.
I have tripped on pan cans once before and they were mindblowing.. I have been dying to get my hands on a print or a swab.
I can offer up some RW or x7x to trade if anyone is interested?

Hey guys Im trying to cultivate my first pans.. Jamaica i've got some spores, make some transfers in agar, got a clean culture and make a LC. Inoculated the grains and after full colonization, spawned it to 40/30/30 Manure/Coir/Verm.. in little trays. In 2 days it was fully colonized.. so i pasteurize some verm/coir and use it as a casing layer.. After 1 day, the casing was totally colonized So i applied some more.. and now im waiting to fruit..
I also have inoculated a few cakes with manure in the recipe, MacMerdins style, and put it in the same place..
I have SGFC but no perlite, so i found some aquarium bubblers in my closet and put it in there, with a line of water in the bottom.. What do you think?
This is a good setup? It will fruit?

In the small amount of reading I have done regarding cultivation of Pan species, they suggest NOT using coir as a casing layer because the mycelium will colonize it and create heavy overlay which leads to a trich infection.
I read that peat/verm should be the correct casing layer.

I think these are pan sandose fruitng invitro in cold weather I left this in my kitchen where its about 65ish... How could I print these? i tried the are to thin lol swab maybe? I was under the impression they cant fruit this way or very rarely do. Am i just better off cloning and fruiting again? This is my 1st go with this species.
