I use a syringe to keep the casing very moist at all time! I know Asura does or atleast did this aswell.
I recommend it

Would casing and putting a shoebox in a sgfc work? I have about 12qts of spawn that's 100% and I can't seem to come up with a easy way to fruit it without foggers or airstones. I would really just like to do a monotub style and just inject or mist daily. It's killing me not to fruit this lol.

Check out macmerdins pancake tek. He uses I think little tubs buried in perlite.
I live in a super dry area but I honestly can’t imagine pulling off a decent tub without a fogger unless you live somewhere tropical.

I've lost two projects now due to my casing drying out so quickly I can't keep up. Last run was pan cakes and the woodstove made quick work of them. You really have to babysit the fuck out of them unless your humidity is crazy high indoors or can just labor over them...SGFC just wasn't enough, even with misting 2-3x a day apparently.

Setting up a greenhouse is not possible for me so I played around with monos and got some pretty good results with this setup growing Pan Thai.
- spawned grain to 50/50 coir/horse manure in 1/2.5 ratio, sub depth 2"
- all holes taped up for colonization
- applied a really wet 1/4" casing of 100% verm (fully hydrated with
boiling water, strained till it stopped dripping)
- put into fruiting with bottom holes half covered with micropore tape
and top holes almost fully or fully covered with masking tape. You can see this in the images below.

- temps were 26-30 Celsius
I had to go away for a long weekend when pins started to pop up

and came back to this

This was a couple of years ago, I can only grow pans in summer due to my heating situation and tried to repeat this the next season but had some white mold popping up as well so the yield was not as smashing, hope to give this another go soon.
Edit1: for clarification Edit2: added graphic

What size is those tubs and what's the hole sizes? Also 2" thick? So you really only used 2qt spawn 5qt poo/coir? Since it's only 2" spawn and sub. I figured it was a 1-2.5 so 2 spawn 5sub.

No, the lids were on, I have misted them a few time till pins started showing I think.
What I can remember for sure is that it was very "tropical" in there when I lifted the lid.
I got the idea for this when I was first playing around with a few trays. The best way was to just put a somewhat bigger tub with a bit of headspace over the tray and have it sitting on some spacers for FAE. The trays did terrible over all but the ones set up like this were doing best. This got me to shut the top holes of the monos and open the bottom up.

I don't have the middle and left tubs anymore but here are photos and measurements of the one on the right. 21 liter capacity. Holes are 32mm and the sub was about 50mm maybe a wee bit more but not so much that it would matter.

In this tub the substrate would have been around 4 liters, maybe I have used 1.5 spawn jars but it could also be that I used only one at a ratio of 1:3, but I am really not that accurate when it comes to spawn ratios, its within those margins and shouldn't matter too much.
