The midgets I grew literally had no stem at all. Just decent sized caps popping up below the casing. So weird.

So how does everybody who has dried aged manure in bulk store it I’m curious to know. I don’t like to but a lid on the bucket just in case some moisture gets in there and fucks everything up. I fell into a lot of dried manure metaphorically and am gonna have to figure something out long term.

Been wondering this too Celestialexplorer1 ! I’m in NorCal so right now I just leave it outside but, fingers crossed that we start getting rain soon, and I’ve got move it. I agree sounds sketch lid’n the buckets and bringing inside. City dwelling doesn’t afford land and a barn... so what to do?

How much is "bulk"? I have about 10 gallons on hand at all times and just store them in 5 gal buckets.

If you were to spawn pans to a super grain heavy sub does that cause overlay and stall fruiting?
I’ve always used small amounts cuz that’s what the teks said.

My experience is that it just won't fruit...or maybe just a few fruits. The opposite of what you would expect to happen. It just stays in the vegetative state using all of it's energy there and just sort of dies off or contams.
But then there's jcm's jambos which do well with a bit of grain

Like 25-30 gallons of dried aged manure. I’ve been doing the same in just 5 gallon buckets with no lid.

Nice, I wish I had that much on hand.
I put that CFL and Gator to plates yesterday, so it's officially queued up. Just in time for the weather change.

Does anyone know of any mushroom cultivation books with a section on pans?
There are some great teks and grow logs here in these forums. Just would like to read up some more on it.
Also, has anyone tried fruiting these on Aspen wood chips?

When did this start happening? It used to be one of the best pans not too long ago. Cyan "Vietnam" was also primo and seems to have disappeared.

Those look like it could be decent if you got them to canopy, the caps are probably most of the weight with pans right?
I wonder if vendors breeding for printable fruits had anything to do with it.
