Me too jcm I have my routine where I wake up and harvest tubs and do transfers or whatever but the heat was brutal and it was ruining most of my grows so I just quit prepping new stuff for like 6 weeks and now all by grows are done and it takes me two minutes to check my plates and jars now.
That rainbow eucalyptus plate has blown up. It’s like 90% good growth and luckily one of the colonies I transferred from has been like doubling in size almost each day.
Between these and tamps I might need a second fogger.

That’s how thing we’re for me as well usually I spawn my jars and wait till I have eight empties and then run grain again which is about once a week. So eight jars innoced once a week give it take and it takes about ten days to colonize. But I’m also running a bunch of exotics some going outdoors

Yeah I’m gonna take a couple more wedges and then drop the rest of that colony into a half pint of grain I think.

Just posted a new thread trying to figure out what went wrong with my latest pan cyan attempt, and figured I'd flag it here as well in case someone in here can help weigh in (didn't want to post the whole thing in here though because it's a bit long): https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26942663
On the plus side, I finally got some pins out of a tray, so I know I'm getting close to where I need to be. But I have no idea at this point if I've got it too wet, too dry, too much FAE, too little... hopefully a couple pics will help someone who's done this before tell me what's wrong. Thanks!

Yeah getting to pins is relatively easy but keeping them going can be tricky.
It’s definitely not from being too wet or too much air. My moneys on too dry, ime pans love it even when the subs got puddles.

Got it, thanks. Maybe I'm just paranoid from having tried running cubes in the GH and having most of those subs tend to go bad super quick (like right after 1st flush), which I'm assuming is because they're way too wet. Does that not cause a problem with contams for pans?

I did the same thing at first, I kept having to come back here to look at pics of people soaked subs to feel better lol.
As long as you’ve got enough fae to dry off the caps somewhat they don’t seem to mind the surface being soaked.

This is a little wetter than normal cuz my fogger was on extra high while I was gone for a couple days but I came back to tons of pins on a sub I thought was shot. I think it was the fifth flush so the surface is pretty rough and there’s some melting aborts.
Basically if you’re used to cubes you should be convinced you’re drowning them the whole time.

In my tub it’s not a very big space so when the fogger fills it up it’s thick and you can’t see anything at all. I have a very small heater about 6 feet from the tub pointed away from it because i don’t wanna dry it but just get some of that warm air going through the filters when the fan kicks on. You can see by the time the fogger starts again evaporation has happened. But I think about mushrooms in their natural habitat and when it rains and the ground gets soaked for a couple days and you get another light rain you know there’s gonna be mushrooms out. So when I put the casing on and let it sit for 24 hrs and am about to introduce it to fruiting I soak the hell out of the casing like a good rain and then just let that evaporate for a couple days and usually by the time it evaps there’s pins forming.

Definitely. Pans and tamps seem to respond to it way more than cubes. Since I’ve started doing that over the last couple months with my tamp tubs it seems like you could almost get good enough at it to basically summon pins after it’s past a certain point.
I’ve been doing the soak on day 7/8 and seeing pins by day 9, when I just leave it like normal it was taking up to 14 days.

Yep one big evap of the whole surface but not to the point it’s dry just to the point it’s not soaked anymore then just keep the evap going. Thinking that’s the key

Hey asura how is your bran experiment going. I’m thinking about making a couple bulk bags mainly because I have a couple LCs I have to do something with.

It's rye flour actually. And man I have two trays due to pin on Sunday and two more getting inoculated later tonight. It grows out soooo nice I am going to switch over ...if I get good yields. I've never had bags that looked this good.
