I'm wanting to make the jump from monotub cubes to pans in a martha. I've got a lot of experience with cubes but never tried to grow anything else (well I did stones but that's even simpler than cubes). I'm looking for a guide on setting up a martha for pans, and some tips on how to pasteurize a large amount of straw and manure (ideally I'd like to pasteurize the whole 50 lb bag of poo in one go). I've got my own space and a job so stealth and budget aren't an issue. Also curious what experience people have growing pans on oats, do they like it as much as cubes?

Something I thought maybe some of you might find sorta interesting I have three LCs all tested all clean one pan Vietnam, one pan Hawaiian, one pan huasteca. Both the Hawaiian and huasteca are white like most other pan myc should be but the Vietnam myc has been yellow/gold. I thought maybe it was that way at first from scraping the agar but it’s now grown and a couple weeks old and still looks the same. Still clean I must add.just thought it was strange and wanted t share

Lets see if I can live up to the name first before you start throwing superior genetics around. Also I'm in 1 of 3 states banning shipped spores I don't know how this sweet nation can have 3 states ban spores but there's a law for just about anything these days.

lol we're all cool here. I'll let you know when I deserve one, and don't you NEED agar dealing with prints? I never messed with prints or agar I never heard of cambos till you hit the scene. Still don't know what RDU is but I'll get there.

So. I have pins on the substrate experiments I'm running and the ones on wheat bran/fine verm 50/50 are huge. The small ones under the big ones are the normal size I've seen so far.
Unfortunately I have to stop growing for a while so if anyone wants to try this it would be great.

im always awake early as fuck. i usually start working at 4 or 430 am and get off between 2 and 4pm so even on days off my body just wakes up after over 30 yrs of working these hours. its also why my ass is in bed by 8pm too lol
ya u def need agar if ur gnna fuck with pans. not sayin you couldnt get lucky going spores to grain nut the odds are against you. selecting the right growth can be the difference between fruits and an overlayed nasty mess. plus its just good practice to use agar for any species. its the best tool in a cultivators tool box if you ask me. it would really be to your benefit to get into it asap. also RDU just stands for Red Down Under its just a pan aussie tropicalis that puts out red spored fruits thats it. just know id have sent you one

while thats cool and all i dont think it would produce like a good properly cased manure and straw sub would on a full scale tray. however it could be a good on a very small scale testing cultures out and clone hunting level. im curious to see the size of the fruits when mature. so u cant quit growin just yet u gtta at least finsh these out
