I've tried everything to combat it and nothing has worked so far. You might
get some fruits where it hasn't taken over.

the best way to combat it if u ask me other than selecting the correct growth on agar and casing at 100% colonization is to keep a wetter casing. but once its to a certain point it aint gnna matter either way. the 1 tray u may b able to still pull a few fruits from if u can stop it now but the one looks pretty bad. even if u start pullin the blobs off they r just gnna keep coming back with a vengence. i have even scraped entire casings off before and it dont matter it will just keep comin back. but if u can remove the stuff u can remove and try to squeeze a few fruits out but i wouldnt expect much of anything. sometimes it just happens in my experience but the best way is to avoid it all together and if u ask me that way is selecting the proper growth from the start and by not casing until you reach actual 100% colonization of the substrate. this is exactly the reason why i spawn to bags so i can see/feel just how colonized my sub actually is. then il often break my bags up and mix at 50% that way when i do break up the final time and lay the trays i know for a fact my substrate is already 100% colonized and its just a matter of allowing it to recover and consilidate for a day or 2 then casing

Does anyone know the biological reason for overlay? Like how we know that truffles are just energy reserves for times of desperation or whatever.

But whats the purpose of overlay? Is it like a protective sheath that grows over the mycelium or something?

i dont believe there is a reason for it. its more so a man made issue that only most likely occurs during domestic cultivation. i dont recall anyone ever saying i went out to hunt cyans but all the damn spots and patties were overlayed lol

I know at least 1000 members on here that would be proud to have your trays.  I understand they didn't live up to your jambo trays.  Better tuck in that lip before it gets caught in a trip wire.

Just a microdose (.06g). Very strong from what I can tell. Working up the courage for a full trip. Never had pans before.

lol I misread that at first. Thought you said a microdose just .6, was about to say well I hope you didn’t have any plans after that microdose.

If you can handle strong cube trips you’ll be fine. Ime pans are much more visual and less mind fucky than cubes are.

in my opinion anythkng less than 3.5 of cubes is a waste and actually less pleasant and not very enjoyable. 1.0 of pans i compare to at least a 3.5-4.0 equivalant of good cubes. while pans are way better in every way if u ask me they are also less of a load on the body and its actually a lot easier to really enjoy the experience without having that horrible heavy weighted down clinched up on the inside type feeling not to mention zero gut pain that can flat out ruin a trip and have u bent over in pain. fuck that shit pans all the way for this guy here
