Got ten pan cakes colonized each jar a different strain there’s cinctulus, pan Vietnam, pan huasteca, pan cyan CFL, pan Hawaiian, wild coast, ps. Papuana, pan tropicalis, atl7 gallindoi i forgot the last one. Bout 80% colonized used hpoo/straw pellets/fine cut straw/millet. Should be interesting.
Also my sandose tray is showing a ton of pins but they haven’t done much in the last two days

Hi there, newbie over here. I inoculated 8 plates a fortnight ago and to my surprised, there's been no contamination! So I wasn't sure if I should go straight to grain from here, or if I should do a transfer first. Can anyone advise me where to take a sample from on the dishes? The mycelium looks mostly cottony to me except some looks particularly dense and aerial.

Also along with manure + gypsum, is there a preference between using millet, oats or birdseed? I know rye is much loved here but unfortunately I could not find any.
Edit: These are Australian pan cyans from the wild

Alabama turned out to be the most prolific MS grow I've done so far. I think I harvested the first container to early. I let this ones go longer.
 Those are cm not inches.

First flush from "big" tub. 70g wet approximately.

Nearly 3g

Twin

2g+ boiz

Blackening

Total with container weight of 8g, but 9 caps were still printing.

Rack full o' shroomz

Oh, and I'm also glad that I didn't yet throw out the first container that put out 4.5g dry. Because it seems that AT LEAST another 0.5g is growing, if not a full gram or so. Will see.

I only have the clone from the first container. I've been lazy and don't have Agar plates ready anyway. But the first clone will def be tested soon. After that I may or may not start from spores again, will see.

So here is the Texas coming up and it’s a perfect example as to why I would rather run pasteurized Bulk over sterile, It’s got a pretty large Trich Contamination on the first flush and you can see the mushrooms melted around it and it just starting to break through on the surface this is normally how trays go but not until after the third flush but with sterile I feel this happening earlier on is a much more common occurrence. I haven’t tried to run pasteurized in the last two months just because the last few times I tried it everything failed immediately. sometimes it happens either way and the summer months are more difficult to grow in but I def feel there is a decent difference in a healthy trays ability to resist contamination.
