Great little video on controlling humidity and airflow in fruiting rooms.
The concepts absolutely apply to what we do here.

Idk man that surface looks kinda rough. I haven’t run bisp yet though so it could look normal, it seems dry to me.

My eyes aren't the best but that looks like a whole tray of some kind of aspergillus to me.

stonesun did a grow with bisporus and his substrate looked similar. Here's a picture of his. It also has that grey appearance. It makes me wonder if it's good or not.

First of all what we need is more detailed close-up pics. From distance it really looks strange.

It's not fully colonized so you're seeing manure through thin mycelium. That's why you're thinking its a contaminat. I should have waited to post a picture but I was bored. The mistake I made is that I used a ridiculous amount of grain with little manure. I Also didn't get the substrate to the perfect field compasity Because I was rushing it like an idiot.  I don't need mushrooms right now and I'm experimenting with different trays, different substrates, different fruiting conditions. No matter what ill end up having bisporus mushrooms. Usually when I grow a new species I fail the first time but in the end I always end up being successful at it. It's not a big deal... I am going to build that fruiting chamber in your link because I think it's awesome :yesnod: ...

It's manure. It's just hard to tell from the picture.. im going to post a picture in a few days and it's going to look different. It'll probably fail though lol.
