Good luck on them transfers.

Today i took the drive out to a small ranch and got permission to graze for dried hpoo. The rancher  was super nice. They always offer up there compost pile ,the stuff that comes out of the stables, and you got to say, well what im really looking for is the field dryed stuff.
Ranch was about 20 mins from my house and i was there about 45 mins. I collected
3Lbs. of pretty dry nuggets. Some had what i think might be that white fire  fang stuff on it. I thought i read that it was good. I was dragging my feet going out bothering farmers, but it turned out to be a cool.

When I was scouting around last week or so, I had that same conversation numerous times. I just tell them I want it for my container tomatoes and I have to use the stuff that don't smell or have to be dried out in the yard to keep it from smelling because I live inan apartment and can't store it if it still smells like manure. One of the times, I had to tell my friend so he could tell his friend so he could tell his dad. It took four days to get the idea across.

hello everyone, been a member now for awhile and i suppose it's time i start posting, ive had plenty of success with cubes and ill have azure's coming up this fall, but only failure with copelandia. Ive tried 2 syringes and a print from sponsored vendors. ive tried agar, lc, grain, and poo cakes with no avail;( but i absolutely refuse to give up. i just got ahold of a bisporus print and 2 days ago i inoculated an petri dish and 4 grain jars...for some damn reason my grains always seem to sweat yellow stuff with these pans and the mycelium that does grow is just wimpy shit. however, i have faith in these bisporus and i will update. any tips would be greatly appreciated

I also did some grows before making any posts myself.
Welcome to the world of Pans! This thread has lots of info- different ways to grow, tips etc.
Pans CAN be relatively easy. I personally don't trust Pan spores until they've been germinated on agar.
For a simple conventional grow see the link below the snow pic.

Pan mycelium is always wispy. In jars it tends to look similiar to cobweb. Pans bring out the paranoia in people I guess, you're always unsure if what you have is what you need :lmafo:

I said it looks like cobweb, not actual cobweb. Mostly, it only seems like that in jars.

When it comes to real cobweb, 95% of the people who think they have it normally don't.

agreed. i rarely see cobweb, ive seen it on a casing layer that didnt have enough gas exchange and ive seen it in a petri dish from cloning an outdoor mushroom, it's not a huge threat and from what ive read and experienced a little h202 knocks it on its ass..does anyone know if it's necessary to isolate a culture from bisporus or is it as the name suggest, only one possible phenotype to come from it?

Normally people don't isolate pans, regardless of which variety they are. Pans tend to give out even flushes so it is generally not needed.

From the little I have read about bisporus, it does not need to mate with another compatabile hypae to be able to produce fruits. It will still fuse with other dikaryons though. It also tends to stall more when shaken so take care.

Ya!  Left these pints for quite a while since I had ATL7 and Tamp stone projects on the go.  1-2 months left on those with zero effort needed now.

Some of my APE & PE are ready to g2g today.  Got 12 non-tapered quart jars and whole oats/rye blend.  First foray into those strains... And 2x 6L Reishi lol.  Busy week! Enjoying the hobby

I should probably slow down this summer. It's barely warm and I already saw a few mites running around in my plates. Hopefully, I won't start losing grows left right and centre.

did u try putting sticky mats anywhere?  i got a few hanging around my place for gnats.  u could just expose one sticky side and leave them flat near ur stuff.

Man i'm having the same problem, but not sure if they're gnats, i always tend to see small worms in my tubs, mostly on the walls where there is droplets of condensation, i guess what ever it is, just comes in while im spawning, but it's aight, more protein for me babies lol

So, how terrible an idea would it be to put a carnivorous plant inside your growing chamber?
I know that plants and shrooms don't go well together, all the molds and stuff
but it seems to me that if you are having fungus gnat problems, a sundew is the perfect solution.
They will be perfectly fine with the humidity, and certain species can eat hundreds of gnats a day.
