That myc does look really healthy but it doesn’t look like it’s in fruiting mode on top.
So weird how contams don’t seem to count outside.

it’s like there’s something in the sunlight how is it that this is fruiting outside but not inside. I mean I’ve heard that houses are 2-5 times dirtier than outside but as much as I struggle to keep a clean home I cannot see what more I could be doing.

Here’s a west Texas gulf tray on day 3 in the JCM tub. Hey JCM how often do you have to mist your tray?
Took the filter all the way off the fan. If this tray shits then I’m gonna try an outside fan.

So heres the 2 FC trays.

They're actually starting to look ok. Today is 8 days from spawn. When should I case them? It looks like there's still some spots of uncolonized poo so I'm thinking probably day 10?

i only mist very generously when i place into the fc and then i hardly ever have to mist b4 first flush as il usually have pins within 5 days only once in a while will i mist at all b4 first flush. sometimes il keep a casing a tad on the wet side if im worried it will overlay but misting for me is very rare

if i have a very dense pinset like i get with my jambos il bottom water once pins are around the half inch tall mark. but as far as misting goes its only as needed and like i said i giv a very generous misting when i place into fc. but not fucking puddles tho lol just where its obviously wet but use ur best judgement as every environment is different. plus u didnt really build ur fc exactly like mine so its hard to offer advice on it know what i mean. but exactly how many pumps and stones are u using?? did u ever go back and put the holes in the lid??

They look pretty colonized I’d probably case them now, ten days is a while.
But then again I run my grow different.

I have 4 8 in stones( 2 on both sides) and 4 4in stones spaced on the bottom also have a rope air stone on the bottom because I believe my tub might be bigger it’s 105qt. I put holes evenly spaced all over the top. I put a warming pad on the bottom which makes it around 76 -78 inside the tub. The only thing that’s different between my tub and yours is the built in fan which I took the filter off today because your fan is on the outside. I didn’t want to do that because of contams possibly in the outside air. So really there isn’t much at all different I don’t think. Also I have three 6500k clamp lamps on it

I mean is the reasoning for the fan on the outside because it’s more risky to have whatever contams that might already be on the casing not get enough air and take over than the tray getting enough air so it won’t contam out

oh ok i must have been thinking of someone else but i cant remember who. in that case then just keep an eye on it and mist only as needed. like i said i never have to mist and if i was to put anything in my fc at all it will bead up with tiny droplets from the humidity. that really belps with not having to mist. but mostly i dont have to cuz i mist heavy when i place in the fc
but i just spawnd the rdu🤞🤞🤞🤞 cant fuckin wait to get this project under way👍👍 i just got 500 pitris in and a few bags of the premix mea i use so im all stocked back up for awhile. im gnna pour a hundo this weekend tho so im all ready for some clones off the first flush. il be taking a literal fuck ton of transfers and fruiting them all out in small grows but this first grow will be in my fullsize trays. im looking very fwd to working with just 1 variety for a while again
but flush 5 of the peace river comin up lol look how tiny they r getting😂😂

my fan is strictly there to give a lil boost of evap thats it nothing more the majority of the air blows over the top if the fc not into it. only a very lil bit of air will go into that lil gap and just help kinda stir the air it just gives a lil bit of help with evap from having a lil air movement but not alot to where its gnna dry anything at all.

but again your environment is different so u just kinda gtta play with it to see how it reacts. i could pull my fan totally out of the room and i most likely will hardly notice any difference. i have a ceiling fan that runs 24/7 to stir the air in the room and thats really all i need. that extra fan on the timer is just a small lil boost is all im actually down to only 2 min every 4 hrs now
its gnna take a cpl actual fruiting cycles to get it where u want it.

lol ima see just how small these things can get😂😂 this is the 5th flush and ive got at least enuff time to go for a 6th b4 my rdu will b ready to go in. i already tossed one if the trays so i could clean that fc. but with this one i just wanna see how tiny i can get these things to get since i have nothing else to do at the moment. its strictly just for a goof to amuse myself while im waiting for the rdu to go in. but i placed these trays into fruiting on 8/2 and now its 8/27

It’s weird how they get smaller like that. I was surprised with that last run I had that finally went more than two flushes. By the end they were half as tall.

Today is the day! After too many failed trays to count, I woke up to pins at last.
Ironically, they came on a sub composed of screened and dried black kow mixed with verm and wbs, inoculated in a bag with LC. The consistency was so heavy and muddy/sandy that I thought for sure it would fail but ironically it's the only one I've gotten pins on so far. I have another tray with a hpoo straw mix that was placed into the FC a few days later so we'll see.
Question, the pins are extremely small. Like ball point pen tip small. Is that a normal size for day 1? Aside for not misting at all, any tips to make sure these grow to mature fruits?

That sounds pretty normal, a lot of them start off really small. I’d say bb size is probably close to average.
Primordia are super small and weird looking too if you can spot them.
