It’s amazing to look back through the pan forum and see how they’ve changed and how we have changed through the years

It seems like most other species take a really long time. Like I was all stoked I randomly got an allenii print until I found out it’s like a seven month project.
Pans are really the whole package. Pretty easy to grow, real fast and stupid potent with a clean trip.
I still haven’t eaten any woodlover yet though so that’s on the to do list. I haven’t eaten tamps yet but based on the feedback I’m getting I think they’ll be in heavy rotation.
I had no idea there were so many active mushrooms when I got into cult. I’m still amazed how little it’s done. Like even this pans thread would be on the front page maybe once a week it seemed like even just six months ago.

Thanks Asura! Zifozonke I agree they are really nice & look macroscopicaly like Pan bispo, JMC I'm happy to see your success with Peace River as I was the first to domesticate this genetic (wild specimen found by a dear redditor Mycolojean). Yes postal services still have some troubles for example my last prints donation to the Free Spore Espana took 2 or 3 weeks to travel just from France to Spain (instead of 2-3 days), AKA yes Pan & other exotic are super interesting & should be more popular! Spread the love

redit huh lol well that explains the retardation issue i had in the first flush 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
im just fuckin with you man😃😃 it was my fault for cloning the only 2 good fruits out of a retarded tray. i just couldnt resist the perfect chance to slam redit and the most of the shit i see ppl bringing to this site from there was all. nothing against ur friend or anything so dont take it that way. but when i see ppl doing open air inoculations of uncle bens and shit its hard to resist the chance to call them retarded.😂 but all in all with the exeption of the first flushes it hasnt been too too terrible of a grow but im not gnna call it great by any standards but peace river is def a really beautiful variety from the ones i have seen others grow especially jakes. i fully intend to go back to ms again in the future but im trashin these clones and all transfers from them as i know i can get a better clone by going back to ms. but i havent eatn any yet however my next trip in 2 weeks will be these so im looking fwd to trying them out. as far as where they originated from i have no idea but i have seen them around for quite a while now and i got my print from jake(thanks again jake) but i really do look fwd to a great grow of these guys in the future👍👍

No problem! I didn't use it since few months but there's not only retarded oncle bens peoples (every one needs to start, fail & learn) it can be a nice place to exchange some genetics too (there's is différents myco subreddit even magicplantsexchange) also people can be rude here and there sometimes mostly if you're not super good for English language.. I probably gave this genetic to jake, Mary or Asura. Have a wonderful day!

Jesus fuck bro! That's how big we all want our Pans to be! 2-3 mush and you're tripping hard! Very bisporus-y look except the enormous size.

FSE (Free Spore Espana) is a spores (& seeds) sharing association a bit like was FSRE (free spore ring earth) they send prints everywhere for just the price of the letter, or as an exchange but to continue this great system they need some spores donators as they helped me to get some genetic I try to continue to give prints like this because not often enough time to spend on myco forum as here to spread love.. You can't be really sure of quality you get but I still like this kind of systems

The trays for outside are looking great!

Tomorrow is 7 days from spawn. I think I'm going to move them outside and case them with straw tomorrow afternoon 👌
The 2 FC trays are moving along a bit slower but they're moving 🤷♂️

No those are just stray oats from the lime pasteurized straw. For the outdoor trays this time I did a sandwich like straw/spawn/hpoo/spawn/straw instead of several layers. I can still see some small bits of uncolonized hpoo but not many. The straw always colonizes so much faster.

Yeah traffic has picked up. I mean bod added our thread to the sticky a while back. Lots of action in here now.
I think more and more people are discovering that this species really is in a sweet spot in terms of instant gratification and potency. It moves so quick, you can get a lot of practice in if you stick with it. But damn there are a few hurdles.

I know there are not a lot of people using direct inoculation with LC like me, but some of these experiments I am running may be interesting to ya'll.
The first regards light. Pans seem to respond strongly to light. They will grow towards a light off to the side, for instance. I was talking to CaptainFuture about another species and he was telling me about how he blocks off bags with tape to prevent light from coming in through the sides and bottom. This is sort of an old school idea that was thrown away in the cube world a while back. But it got me thinking and I've started putting all of my bags in total darkness during colonization. What I have seen is that there seems to be stronger growth. The mycelium looks thicker and whiter. Also, I am seeing almost zero metabolite expression in the bags. But...too early to tell what's what. Need more experiments.
The second experiment I am about to start is using grain flour as nutrition in my substrates. Rather than toss in some amount of milo or rye, I want to grind it up instead. My thinking here is that I can distribute the nutrition a little more evenly throughout the sub and minimize issues that come with grain spawn, with the straw providing the "highways" for the mycelium. Haven't done this one yet, but it's coming up.

thats odd i havent noticed anything growing twds any of my lights and my fcs are 90deg apart from eachother so id notice it pretty easily since each fcs fruits would be growing somewhat twds the other. but either way int an interesting thing if ur actually seeing a difference. as for my bags ive got 4 that il be spawning to either tom or wed so what ima do is put 2 in the dark and put 2 in the normal spot with ambient light and see if i notice anything different between them. il let u kno if i do asura sounds interesting

My lighting comes in from the side of my fruiting chamber. Here's a pic before I upgraded my lighting. Guess where the light was

This was only happening when my lighting was underpowered. Not happening now because I am flooding my chamber with four 4' 6500K leds.
