Lol hell no I was so stoked to get her in the lab with me I had my super nice face on lol she did hover her hand over the dish on one and the scalpel handle touched the underside of the agar when she dropped the first dish into a jar but I didn’t dare correct her not at the time at least I’ll wait until tomorrow when she goes to try again and give her a few helpful pointers and some constructive criticism but I’ve learned to never offer it up when it happens especially if you’re teaching your significant other. Most of my younger years I worked as a snowboard instructor I taught several girlfriends how to snowboard learned this lesson the hard way lol

I have. Bisp forms stones on plates when the temperatures get warm, into the 25°C territory or more.

So the spawn in the 2 trays I made for the FC aren't recovering... idk what's going on because the spawn in the trays I made for outside has already bounced back and started in on the sub. Maybe the little Tupperware trays I got are actually airtight and I was suffocating them? I cracked the corners of them so maybe that will help..

oh shit u didnt have any g/e at all?? no tiny tiny holes anywhere? that could very well b a possibility but like u said id put the lkd back on and poke some holes in it and see what happens but it happens man and its been my experience that when shit dont recover or recovers poorly and or slowly i wont even use it cuz chances are it wont recover a 2nd time when it comes time to lay it to the tray

Yeah dude I had planned to drilled a 1/4 in hole in the lid and rtv on a filter patch from a bag. But the lids seemed kinda loose so I figured they weren't airtight. I guess they're Tupperware for food so I should have known better🤦♂️. I cracked the corners of them, if they don't get fuzzy by tomorrow I'm gonna dump them in the beds... luckily the other 2 are in those big trays I used last time, I can fit 1 in the FC and put the other on the porch instead of both if I have to 🤷♂️

Plus if you got your girl doing lab work you don’t have to worry about if you split up her getting mad and rolling on you.
Mutually assured destruction baby!

I took 3 wedges out of 6-9 o clock area. My initial agar piece broke into 2. I'm really bad at transferring

thanks homie. These things move fast compared to cubes and lightspeed compared to this pleurotus citrinopileatus culture im trying to train to eat a stump in my yard.
I'm going out of town tomorrow and coming back Monday night. I was thinking about moving these to the fridge after this round of transfers because, well they're far af and I don't wanna come back to stones or whatever. I don't know that much about agar, but this is my gut feeling. Anything wrong with that line of thought?
Sometimes of the plate is old the mycelium looks dry? Is it worthless at that point or could it be put to grain and be fine?

The gator strain culture I have looks like that. All the fibers in the myc sometimes just go straight. I tried to get my wife into it she would probably be good at it
