Those do look like those so called stones I see tons of tiny little ones in the tropicalis trays all the time but those are much bigger.

I get those knotty growths all the time. It's the same consistency as
overlay. I hate seeing this stuff pop up. Usually does not bode well
for fruiting.

K... first time with pans.. i have the mis-labelled combojams. Soo.. soo.. i'm a little wtf at the moment, i did 8 plates 1 week ago tonight, i just looked at them and all of them are like 3/4 grown out already it's insane..
My question is, are pan spores just like this? All of my cubes from spore i would be at least 2 of not 3 weeks to get the agar going...

Second question.. the myc looks like clouds almost which i think is right from the pics here, we aren't trying to get thick rhizo or anything right?

Yeah one of the best thing about pans (besides potency) is speed. Just wait til you spawn a tray and the surface is colonized in 24 hours.

Ok so I'm finally home from work and able to have a smell and take a picture. Heres what my hpoo looks like.

It's not fully dry because it rained before it was bagged, but its definitely field aged. The guy I got it from is family and has owned his ranch for 20+yrs. It smells fine in the bag, just like some really rich earthy soil. But the bags I pasteurized smell like shite. I mean, maybe not actual poop, but the smell practically gags me. And smell has become like my biggest indicator of something wrong. But at the same time, it's my very first time working with any manure other than black kow and I thought that shit smelled funky at first. I actually hate the smell of coir 🤷‍♂️ so maybe it's just me...

But my straw is hanging straining atm soooooooo, think I should go for it or just use the black kow? I think I'm gonna send it 😬🙏

Just make sure you leave the bag open because wet manure in a closed bag with mold.

It's been chilling for a couple weeks. I figured there would be mold when I opened them too, but there was only one bag that had any. They're not wet really, just not fully dry. Waaaaay under field cap if that says anything.

Spore prints to agar. First time looking at pan growth. Any of this look good enough to isolate and transfer?

Alright the trays are in the FC for colonization 🤞 I shouldn't be running the fogger or fan in there until it's time to fruit right? The ambient rh in there is around 70%

I would probably want those tray raised up a bit so the dry air can be pulled across the surface. But I don’t know if those fans are really strong you may not want that.

The fan is actually super strong. I can feel air pulling through the polyfil on the other side when it's running. I actually have a speed controller on the way and I planned on lowering the cfm a bit and raising the trays.

Hello everybody.
I'm running my first pan clone and I  noticed a big difference in myc from the original MS grow it came from.
MS
Clone
This is pan cyan estero.

One of my containers got trich so I have an empty space in the FC and I was thinking to do a substrate experiment.
I've heard about 100% manure, 100% straw/hay, 100% grains grows and different proportions of those mixed together but I'm thinking of something different.
Something like 70% wheat bran, 30% verm with 65% water/dry weight. Maibe with some gypsum added to the water.
What do you think? Any advice?

Update on my Blue Springs stone project.

The stone I put to a new plate is still growing, it's gotten pretty huge actually. And theres little new ones forming now too. The jar is a2g from the same plate the stone came from, but I wanna make a new couple jars with this plate now.
