Yeah that's what I'm aiming for.
So I just pulled my hpoo mix from the PC and theres like, standing water in the bottom... I'm not really sure what happened because it was at/under field capacity when I bagged it and the bags were raised above the water level.. 🤦♂️

If it was under field capacity it should absorb it again if you mix it up a little bit.
Got rain euc, gator, west Texas gulf coast, tropicalis and some more bisporus trays in fingers crossed I don’t fuck it up again

Tropicalis and bisporus are pinning. That’s the furthest I’ve been so far with tropicalis.

Oh yeah I just spun them around a few times and it all soaked back up 👌 I was worried for a second lol. I think I might try a pool again with the 2nd bag and the rest of the hpoo cause these 2 trays won't use much lol.

The tropicalis I’ve been messing with and having trouble with is from India. Forget where specifically.

Yeah its field aged. It looked like it had some bits of bedding and stuff in it as well. It was mostly broken down, but there were lots of small nugs to bust up. It's very earthy 🤣 I'm just not used to it because the black kow smells like dirt.

Your hpoo should not be smelling like shit and it should have the consistency of dirt. The black kow I have is way more "shittier" than the hpoo I am using.

It didn't smell too bad before I cooked it. I think it was just smelling stronger from it being warm lol. It's not actually like a shit smell, it was just super earthy/rich and very strong when I move the bags around. And it definitely had a dry dirt consistency before added verm and water. There were lots of small chunks but it definitely wasn't anywhere close to fresh 🤣
And man I fucking love black kow, it's been super good to me. My normal subs mix for my monos is coir brick/2qt verm/2qt black kow. And I even did a few unbucket tubs with no pasteurization this time and added the black kow too because its already pasteurized. It's just too easy to use. I'm sure actual h/cpoo is better, but if it works right? I'm happy I did the work for this hpoo mix for the pans, but I'll continue to use black kow as a sub additive for cubes 🤷♂️

Here i was looking for stables and shit for weeks, building up the courage to call or go to them. I was walking through ace hardware and there's a stack of 100% composted cow manure that's from a local farm. I'm hoping its what I need

It’ll work. I bought a 50lb bag of composted steer manure from a nursery down the street for 2 bucks. Can’t beat that cheap sub.

If your duke has stable bedding I'd get another source.
Usually it's made from pine shavings.
