That looks pretty good! if you drop the sides of your shoeboxes down so their level or only slightly higher than the surface of your sub you will get better results the high side trap air andChoke some of the fresh air from hitting the surface that’s why I like those shallow trays.

Happens with ms grows, idk your FC is a lil different than mine but you have pulled full trays up before, I have decent luck with ms I’d say I get canopies 40% of the time with ms, 70% with ISO’s. As for conditions always max ur evap that will pull up the pins

How long do others let bulk bags consolidate before traying it’s a little harder to tell when bulk bags are finished. A lot of crap on the sides on some too. On some of my wispier strains really the only way to tell is the color of the straw/manure changes

oh ya for sure i was just wondering how often u run into that since u been growin them ao long cuz just in my short time with pans i have seen it a lot its almost like they have some genetic predisposition to doing that at times

Well I harvested the first flush of my pan grow and thought I'd throw some pics and details up.
These were spores from a west coast vendor, marked as "Pan Cyan Gulf Coast Florida (F1)". Followed Asura's substrate recipe and the fruiting chamber was based on JCM's. I'm using a 6L polycarbonate food tray, it was the right height and seemed sturdy and seems to be about right for two bags of sub.
I didn't get a pic of the first canopy, the below is the last bit that I held off on to see if they would get any larger. These seem very tall and skinny compared to some others I've seen. Total for the first flush was ~31g dry, didn't total up the wet weight but they seem to be ~93% water like most shrooms.

The second flush pinset seems pretty good so far. I have been doing a fair bit of watering with a syringe.

Not sure I'll get another two bags put together this week, but going to try LC for the next round.

Thank you for the advice Jake, I'll definitely find some with shorter sides for my next grow. I picked the 1st tray before I got a pic, ended up with way more than I imagined. Beginners luck I'll take it. Can't wait to give them a try!!!

Are those dropping red spores??
Good job man no beginners luck there. These really aren’t that difficult if you follow directions and have a feel for conditions.
Hope your minds ready to be blown

Jcm, that Peace River tray ain't bad. I'm going on 11 failed trays now and still not a single pin. I think it's environmental cause everything looked spot on before going into the gh. I can't seem to dial in the jartha style tent so I'm going to try a more passive system (asura/Mary Fairchild) on the next attempt. But yeah I'd be happy with those.

Yeah, it can be hard to tell. I just do a light squeeze test. You can kind of tell when it's all grown together into a solid brick. For me, that's always been "good enough". Anything left will get handled during recovery in the tray.
