I think it is the pasteurization as well and I believe it does start on the top although sometimes it will look fine then I go to sleep and look and a golf ball sized spot but most of the the time I spot it on the top first. It’s weird because I’ll pasteurize 4 bags at the same time most of the time 3 pana sub bags and 1 casing bag. Soon as there done I seal them and in the fridge they go till I need them. Spawn run goes perfect and fast and I always give it about 3 days after 100%. Then I put gloves on wash them with iso, take the casing bag and cut it open and case the tray. Then I take a twisty tie and tie up the bag and back in the fridge for later use. Even as I type this I am seeing what’s wrong with this Method. I think somewhere along the way of opening, tying, reaching in, opening, tying... etc that’s where the trich is slipping it in... no Vaseline.

It’s always always at 6-7 days right when I start pinning where the trich comes.

next time it happens u should take that fucker outside and cut it in half all the way thru the sub and look and see how deep down throughout the sub it goes. cuz if its only in the casing layer then u know its most likely ur casing. but if its all up in the sub it could be ur sub prep or even hiding in the spawn. but it sounds kike ur spawn is fine but u never know sometimes.
it just seems like everyones havin a hard time pasteurizing right now. all of my shit was made up and frozen over the winter so i havnt tried anything lately

Well looks like I’m a step closer to joining the pan gang. Are my 4 germ plates looking ok?

Will be taking a few transfers tonight and try and narrow down some decent growth. Really excited to get trying these out.

How many days in fruiting? Bisporus can take 10 days to pin sometimes.

They are coming along nicely, jcm. I sort of expected your jams to just devour the bags, but they are moving pretty much the same as my other bags. But it's all going at a good clip.
