jcm, your culture has completely taken over the LC jar by day 4. Hot damn, it's like the good old days. Nice to have something that moves this fast again. Will be putting to bags tomorrow. One with ProMycel and one without.

So last week I gave a friend some pans. He just texted me he made tea from a gram two and a half hours ago.
He going on about how they’re fucking incredible and he’s never tripped like this before. Tiles are pulsing and flowers melting.
Another convert.

Hope this is the place for this...
I know this guy who has some RGS with some nice Pan Jamaica mycelium and it is almost done colonizing a quart jar. He has freshly acquired/aged horse poo, as well as a small amount of 50-50 casing. He wants the most simple method to fruit, with the least likelihood of contams. Not interested in yield - just getting some prints and enough to make a tea once or twice.
He also has it on agar and he has Mac's Pan-Cakes waiting for inoculation pending agar test of some syringes made from clean agar culture. His understanding is that methods where minimal fiddling with the spawn/substrate works best for these guys.
Fruiting chamber is a SGFC
Anyhow - what do y'all recommend? Is it true that you can just case Pan Cyan grown on RGS and get fruits?

Cased 2 Rain Euc 1st gen isolate trays with pasteurized casing this time and lots more substrate. Just spawned 2 trays of Pan Thai. The next 2 weeks will be fun! @C10 we should be pinning on the same day! Hoping for 25th

If your not interested in big yields you can use half pint jars filed with substrate, sterilized and inoculated. After full colonization just case and move to FC. I did that and it worked great. I've used this containers
They are wider than half pint jars and hold about 300 ml of substrate at 3.5cm hight. And JCM's FC. Yesterday was the first harvest. Pan cyan Texas MS - 9g wet from 1 container.

That last picture was the second pinning day. This is the third:

According to the vendor, these should be Panaeolus Cyanescens Texas.
Also, I realized, that they twist their heads towards the light source, so I turned the tray around and positioned it closer to the light.
Yeah, some are fatties, and some skinnies. No matter how they will be in the end. I'll have my first Pan trip! I'll eat them in any case

Doesn't the fruit look a bit too moist tho?
Always kept my casing very moist but the caps dry at all times.
Seen that in some of your pictures Jake late into fruiting your fruits would sometimes have some moisture on them
