This doesn't look good to me. The Rainbow Eucalyptus print I streaked was extremely bacterial. I swabbed 3 plates and the first 2 were just nothing but bacterial goo. The 3rd plate was better and I was able to make 3 transfers. They are all looking like this pic here, which is exactly the type of myc that I want.

Yeah man that looks good you only need just enough to lightly cover it and you want to see white peeking through then just mist it down really well and wait for pins

Cased last night, left to consolidate until about Noon today under the dome in Propogation tray. Put into my FC today per JCM method, with a light tweak. After taking some time with trial and error, FINALLY got my temps inside to hover around 78F, with humidity around 94-96%. Please send all positivity and good vibes this way, as this is my first attempt with these amazing specimens. Any suggestions or feedback is highly encouraged and welcomed. Pics aren't the best, so hang tight with me.

well yall i just finished printing those 120 caps. so what i am gnna do is a double print giveaway. for 1. i like to give ppl more than one anyway. but 2. this tin foil i had was absolute shit and a pain in the ass to hold ,cut and fold when your wearing xtra large gloves cuz thats all you could find due to fucking covid panic morons buyin shit all up lol then working in a sab on top of all that. so i thought itd be better for everyone to just get 2 prints on 1 foil.๐๐
so now i say this every time i give prints out and il aay it again at this time. THESE ARE NOT STERILE PRINTS although while i do try to keep things as clean as possible and do try to limit chances of contamination of any sort. these fruits were not fruited in a sterile environment so AGAR WILL BE REQUIRED. i feel stupid saying that here cuz if your gnna be working with pans you should already be balls deep in agar by this point lol. but im just sayin it now so i dont have to say it again. i printed these the same way and in the same place that i have printed everything in the past. im sure maybe some of you have grown from my prints before and i have never had anyone say that they had 1 that was so bad they couldnt clean shit up. ๐
so what i wanna do just to make it easier on me. i am not gnna post this in the market place like shit like this should be. only cuz i want the ppl here that will actually be interested in growing them be the ones that have the chance to get them and not just someone who only wants a free print. so what i want ppl to do is to pm me with a subject of -jam print- and either leave a name and address in the pm or thru a privnote link. and thats it. i dont wanna flood up this thread with this so i ask that all questions regarding the jam print giveaway be directed to my write up in my journal. all you have to do to get there is simply click the link in my signature. it will be on a first come first serve basis and i have 50 of them that i am putting twds this giveaway. they will all go out at 1 time once all are spoken for. this really is a great fruiter. it produces thick dense friuts with nice size meaty caps and thick stems. the yields are just crazy for me every time i grow it. i have been working on and with this since last november. i gave blue helix my actual culture and some prints from this culture and he will be doing a grow log/write up on it very soon and the numbers he got are so fucking insane it sounds fake. lol but i assure you its all 100% real that i can promise. he grew both from my actual cultur and the prints from the culture and there is very little difference between the 2. but for now im just gnna label it pan jam2 as we are not 100% sure if its a cyan or a cambo. blue helix talked to alan rockefellar and is going to have him do the pcr on them from samples from his grow. hopefully asura will be growing them soon also and if he does i cant wait to see what he can do with it too. he has also been in the loop so to say thru all this and is aware of blues work so far from his first grow of them. i really look forward to sharing these with the entire pan family here ๐๐
thank you all for all of your kind words and your support. but most importantly a very special thanks to asura, blue helix and jake for all your great write ups and information you guys have compiled that even made me wanna grow pans and learn about them in the first place. also thanks for being so generous. not just to me but to everyone here. you guys never hesitate to help with either knowledge or your prints. so i thank you๐๐ happy growing๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

I already did the PCR Alan is just waiting to get enough samples together to send them all off to Gene whiz together (he gets a discount @ 96 samples) but weโre just waiting on sequencing, PCR and electrophoresis has been done

Are these different than the prints Iโve already gotten from you??
Iโm gonna guess theyโre the same as the ones I did before based on how my little tray blew up without even knowing what I was doing.

Stoked to see Rain Euc getting going I should have put the JCM disclaimer, my prints will need agar work. I do it as clean as I can but they do come from a chamber with a fan going. I always take 2-3 transfers from any pan print before I see clean growth on the plate.

Are you suggesting there's contamination, or that none of the colonies look particularly great phenotype wise? I checked the dates again, those plates were swabbed 4.5 days before I took that picture.
And thanks again, LTC! I've been wanting to try pans for a few years now, looks like it might finally become a reality.

That could definitely be the case. The germination seemed suspiciously fast. I'll order some sterile swabs and give it another go. Thanks for the input!

rido, the prints have contams. I don't know what your process is, I am just saying they are there and I think you have a lot more cleaning up to do.
Luv, this stuff looks really nice. I haven't had growth that looked this good in awhile so I am getting excited about these.

Completely agree. I think the fact that all the growths look the same gave a false sense of security that they were all the right thing, instead of all the same contam. I'd be surprised if they were anything other than contam, really.

@Asura I printed in October and didn't get it to agar until May. It was faster than any of the cubes to germ and very strong growth. It will be nice to see what the experts can do with it!

He means that getting sterile swabs wonโt do anything cuz the contam is in the print. Itโs normal thatโs what agars for at this point in the process. Its definitely myc in there but itโll take transfers to get it for sure clean.

I understand there's contam in the print, I just think there were even more contams in the q-tip than the print despite my attempt to sterilize it.
