Another sporeless Wild Coast Isolate. Mostly small caps but a few big bell ends.
Chopping tonight but no prints. Got a bit dry in there today.

I'm finally getting to fruit some pans. So... I have some PP5 400 ml wide containers that I filled with cow manure/hay 60/40 (300 ml substrate) sterilized and inoculated with agar wedge. After full colonization just case and move to FC.
Pan cyan Estero T4

 Two days later

Pan cyan Texas MS from JOC I almost throw them out. I thought it was mold or something else... they look completely different from Estero but when I opened it was spreading out like myc so I kept them.

Pan Bisporus MS also from JOC

Texas vs. Estero

FC is jcm stile and I can fit 8 of them in there. What do you think? Any advice?

People have advised against hay. I believe straw is supposed to be the way to go although yours looks like itβs doing alright. Was there any green pieces in the hay

Truth. I know that straw is from grain plants and hay is grass. For whatever reason Iβve just heard hay is bad, straw good. Iβve seen people do some incredible grows off 80% straw product.

It's dry grass with seeds in it and sun dried manure. Picked them myself.

Straw allows for more moisture retention, hay contaminates easier for some reason and that extra moisture makes the difference in my opinion.

I have a whole bale of hay in the garage cuz I didnβt even think there might be a difference between hay and straw. The problem is supposed to be that itβs very nutritious. I did find quite a few successful hay grows though.
Iβm trying to find a way to leech it first by soaking it or something.

Maybe just let it compost with the manure?

Thatβs an idea, I probably should start a compost pile anyway.
If I were to make a sub around 75/25 coir/manure do you guys think bucket teking the whole mix would work? It stays pretty hot for hours when I pour boiling water in to make coir so if I could get away with that instead of pasteurizing a load of manure it would be great.

I really so not think that would work. My thought would be it's to much nutriegents not to pasteurize.
Would be interesting If you tried tho!
