they all look pretty variable so I'd take another transfer from the aggressive sectors.

I usually end up doing about 4 or 5 transfers before I go to grain

I usually do with cubes 2-3 but last time with pans I did 3-4. The 4th transfer looks more uniform.

I like these spots for transfering

I thought the only real difference macro was that they had brown pins compared to cyans which have white pins

I cased at full colonization, poly in the whole time. I see a single small pin on one of the ones I did that to. Just a ziplock quart pp5 with a coke bottle on top, poly instead of lid.

I also have a tub with 4 other tons within, two of those were cased with coir and the other Cactus mix, curious to see the difference.

oh ok cool.

just straight cactus mix? did you add any verm to either of those?
I cased my tub with 50/50 peat/verm and haven't seen any pins yet, but it's only been a couple days

About 50/50 verm/Cactus and the coir had some verm not exactly sure. I just made sure it was nice and fluffy.

Took over a week for me to see these pins since casing, almost 2

Fruiting day 3.

I have different temparature with digital and mercury thermometers. 77F and 81F. which one is honest? I have less confidence to digital one.

IME mercury thermometers are more reliable, but the best would be to get another to have another opinion

Sadly, my Pan and ATL tubs aren't fruiting, its been over 3 weeks, I think its genetics or maybe because i forgot to sieve my peat casing before applying it  :cryariver:

Do you always sieve casings before applying? :takingnotes:
I just hydrate, squeeze to field capacity, then apply small handfuls and smooth over it lightly with my fingers.

i used to load it into jards and do it in the pc or a big pot, but its a pain in the ass so I've done it in the oven the past 2 times.

I use cactus mix so I definitely have to sieve it, so many sticks and other garbage.
I don't hydrate quite to FC either, I find it's a little too dense, I've always read that pans like an extremely fluffy sub/casing, so I prep it a little dry and then mist it once I apply it.
No idea if that's a good thing or not.

I know I posted these last night but

I'm just too excited to not share. They look pretty weird to me though. Super woody and brown, with reddish caps.
