ya i dont have fans in mine either i get good evap and air movement with jusg the fan pointed at mine on a timer also. plus the ceiling fan that runs 24/7 helps a lot too. but hey celestial u dont need that poly on the top holes. if anything it may restrict your exchange a bit. and if u melt the holes in the corners u can stick all your tubing thru those so u dont have to hang them all over. just a thought im sure u already had it tho. but either way i cant wait to see some fruits from u guys😃😃👍

Does anybody else see faster colonization with big jars than little jars...? What I mean is I have grain jars that are quarts that I nocced the same time as half pints and pints and the quarts always, always colonize before the little ones. Same culture. Only reason I even used the half pints and pints is because I made too much grain and i mean I’m not gonna waste it. Especially when the have tons of good cultures on agar just lying around. And yes I was thinking that too jcm I just hadn’t gotten around to it. And I put the poly in there temporarily until I thoroughly clean that room. Had a little trich in a shoebox.

Took a creme Brûlée bowl and literally just a couple grains from leftover spawn from a bag and some sub and it’s got about a dozen or so pins in it. Pan jam

lol hell ya
but i only ever use qt jars and from wedge drop they always seem to be 100% no longer than 10 days with pans that is, last ones i had finished in 6 days but usually i find myself shaking around day 4 or 5 and by 8-10 they r done n ready to spawn

Yeah same but I took several quarts and threw in wedges and had those pints just laying there so threw in with those too and the quarts have been done and the pints are still sitting there looking fine just slower. Seems to always be that way with smaller jars IME.

Ok so im getting tons of overlay on the big tray that looked so ugly before casing. The small ones are the ones that looked good. Temps around 79-81
Do i need to patch the casing or anything? Anything i need to do differently or fix at this point or jusy let em roll?
Really appreciate any feedback!! Im determined to get it right this time
