I’m personally having a tough time with that pic. I think you have something there over on the right but it’s not easy to tell with that light. When did you swab it?
Thread shows up in mush cult for me. when I want to get here though it’s quicker to go to my old posts. I’ve gotten a few swabs recently but as a noob I dread having to make something happen with them. Feels like I got all my eggs in one basket.

Here's a better pic with natural lighting. I tried to take a pic of the front but the condensation makes it really blurry.
It's been something like two weeks since I inoculated this plate. It is really thin so maybe that's the reason it's taking so long (?)
Yeah this doesn't even show up when I click on "Threads" next to Account and Pics. I could only come back to this because I bookmarked it

Lol jcm I think he means when he goes to mush cult to find it he doesn’t see it on the list.
Mimir you have some super clear agar.
I’ve gotten weird growth like that with cubes but on really soft plates where it grew into them.

I think most everyone on here could try to be a little nicer with their comments before pulling the trigger on publicly shaming members. Even myself, I’ve been guilty of it too. I think the community as a whole could do better though, especially when you consider the subject matter of this forum which, to me, is about unlocking the doors to the universe. There’s a lot of stupid shit said on here no doubt, but there’s just as much as, if not more, E-peen flexing that isn’t helping anyone.

I think the one I circled in yellow looks better but since it’s yours only plate with anything on it I’d grab the stuff circled in red too just to get some variety and not put all your eggs in one basket. Also, if I read you right, didn’t you say this was a germ plate? It looks like a hunk of transferred agar in the middle. Or is that just a big yellow lump?

HELP! When do I case this P. Bisporus? I have 2 more boxes coming up right behind this one... do I let it fully colonized the top? Or is it safe to do it now? Any help is greatly appreciated! This is my first Paneleous grow...

case when it is 100% colonized. not just the top but the entire sub. a big mistake ppl make with pans is the same mistake they made in the begining with cubes. and that is they try to rush shit along. sometimes you may even think its 100% just cuz the top may look like it but often its not. and they will case it and then they are on here 15 days later wanting to know why they still dont have pins. after a cpl of grows you will have the eye for it when its ready. but until you do i advise using clear trays so you can tell for sure. but honestly the best thing to do if you ask me is to colonize in bags cuz its easy to see and to feel if its actually 100% colonized. then that way when you break it up and lay it to the tray its just a matter of letting it recover then casing it and placing it to fruit

Right on. They're in standard shoeboxes for now... like I said the other 2 aren't as colonized so I'll give em all a few more days.

Roar, that box looks good to me, happy for you

I like this pictures
I traded for Pan trop/cambo/tropicalis but after a lot of trial and error I cannot get them to germ.
Anyone here have a print or swab of any of these please take a look at my trade list and send me a
(sorry if it's a deal breaker writing this here instead of the marketplace, will be having a big pan giveaway soonish, was going to do it this harvest but all fruits are spores less)

I made the mistake of casing my first grow when the surface was colonized. The myc moves so fast on top that it’s usually covered around 2-3 days before full colonization Ime.
I cases it and the next day the casing was totally overgrown.
You’ll know the entire sub is colonized when you case it and hardly anything grows through.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I will definitely take more than one transfer from both regions. It was a germination plate, but I always make the agar very soft when I'm germinating spores and with it being very thin I broke it while streaking, that yellow speck is a piece of agar

Np man! It's easy to misunderstand when reading from a screen, happens to everyone. For some reason this thread is like a ghost on my profile, the only way for me to reach it is either through search function or from bookmarks. Weird

That's probably it, this was something like 10 g/L of agar agar while I normally do 20 g/L. I just make it softer when I'm germinating spores

Now what?

Do I wait till it's more colonized to case, or just try and keep 'er wet and fan?
Really doubt these will grow well, don't have a martha or any automation yet.

Now you try to give it lots of air and humidity, you can mist it until pins show up.
I’d look closely for knots and primordia each day before misting. Usually they show up in a few days.
These are from my last grow it was the first time I actually saw them. They’re like clear with greenish caps.

mimir, I agree with Cosmic on the transfer selections. I like that 9-10 o'clock region circled in yellow a lot. I would take at least 3 transfers from there.
