Does this mean we’ll have the genetic info on Natalensis in a couple days?

Can any of you grow masters help me out?

Can I call my beautiful selections of pan and bisphorus mycellium isolates if they exhibit no sectoring?

i've isolated several nice looking fast growing wedges of aussie pans and bisphorus spores, but i want to extend these agar selects down to slanted isolated cultures.

Instead of rhizomorphic growth, i did notice one side of the petri dish of a transfer, the mycellium appeared fuzzier than the other sides finer looking mycellium on the same petri dish; would this barely noticable texture comparison indicate seperate isolates?

I hope to share in the success of pans, should be dropping to grain within the week.

First Three are all the same aussie.. i assume this is one culture.. this is a t1 transfer; i have other aussies but they are too slow.. i notice this has same texture all the way around.. i have another slower aussie with two different mycellial textures.

These are Bisphorus wedges after t1; there is no sectoring but i can see that on the last pic especially, the left side mycellium looks a little frayed, while the mycellium on the right looks like it could be finer/smoother..  I'm wondering if that is an indication of two seperatate isolates/ or phenotypes -despite the fact that this does not sector like cubensis, is the sectoring replaced by a change in texture?

Last prospect.. looks like two or three different textures of mycellium, i'm going to cut three wedges from this one see what i get. the obvious texture difference is at 12:00 and 6:00; there may be anotehr phenotype at 9:00 but it may just be different because the wedge jumped onto the plate at different times.

lmao...

soiled disks should be a turn on..  you should see my rusty agar plates, and i'm not talking about pasty either. the mycellium don't mind.

I've been working with a the remnants of a hot-glued 3 sectional. They don't mind!

Dropped my media bottle of agar in the SAB last night, would you re-sterilize?

trippleblack, I would say you have a monoculture there. Isolates are single strain
if I am not mistaken.

perfect..  looks like i'm on the right track.. i always assumed monocultures could be termed as an isolated monoculture; the mycellium i grab to transfer is always at first sight so hopefully it includes the smallest range of genetics possible.

I have a plate of pan cinctulus, it was a swab and I need to know if this is contam or is this on the right track. I’m planing on taking a transfer as far away from the swab area anyway but just trying to see what I’m working with here

Thank you yeah I I know even pan cyan looks kinda funky when it’s all clumped together like that too I just wanted to make sure before I transferred I’m kinda liking this spot right over here

I got some Pan Cyanescens swabs from a trade a while back, this is the only plate out of eight or so that showed germination. It's growing quite slowly, do you think it's any good? The picture is from below as a little condensation on the top made it hard to see
