Thanks! Yeah I think shaking it at this point would just set it back. Should finish within a week or so I would hope.
They are actually oats not rye.
I only just last shook on like Sunday or Monday I forget which.

Yeah, Cambo's from a print from Mr. Fox.
Thanks Chron!
Teemo, they move real fast once they pin. If you've already cased them, you shouldn't have too long to wait.

I really think what I found in wood chips isn't cinctulus then.

Although everyone ID'd them as cincs:

But, I've tried several times with several different substrates (not wood yet though) and all I have been able to produce was this.

Even though I have been successful with other grass loving pan species. Remember this one cron?

Which really did look very much like cincts.

I'm at a loss as to what those wood dwelling pans were.......

Right.
I have another cinct print from another user. Maybe I should try that one to see if it's the species or my growing.
Have you been successful with cincts before?

Interesting Mac. Just curious, sulfuric acid/microscopy? Pans and psathys are really close except spores fade with the latter. Would've been a definite key.
Reminds me of Psathyrella... maybe gracilis group.

I've thought maybe Psathyrella as well. It would explain them not fruiting from my pan-cakes. Although those mottled gills kinda point to pans.
I'll try the cinct print I received from saralove in the near future to see if I can get those to fruit.
Btw d0urd3n......I saw your cinct grow on the other thread. Good stuff.
