Yeah the only things i ever got addicted too was cigs, alchohol and those "spices" namely diablo. Shit got so bad i couldnt even sleep for an hour or so without wakin up to smoke some more. Then it all just vanished and i couldnt get anymore, i was a saaaad sick and pissy panda haha
But i changed my mind on how ima get into growin the pans, i decided instead of cakes n all that shit ima get me an ultrasonic and just run it through a couple totes with racks and drip trays for holding my subs. In my head im seeing just stacking the totes and putting a couple holes in the bottom of the top and lid of the bottom(likely usin a metal coffee can) so it can run from top straight down through both. I just cant decide yet how ill install my little fan or fans in em, any ideas or suggestions?
I still haven't got all my materials yet so its just a concept in my head so far

Doesn't look like you hurt them any. I'm pretty good at forgetting to turn my humidifiers back on after I refill the tanks.

I thought the same thing but figured it was just the myc since I don’t know how it’s supposed to look.
Yeah grim I did the same thing last grow, and also didn’t lock the tank in right once so the fog just came out the base.
So far it looks like they’re much more tolerant of too wet than too dry.

Nah I had to leave for work. I can see why you'd say that though. This tray has been white and fluffy since the beginning not so wispy. We'll see when I get home.

they seem to tolerate being wet as fuck as long as that wetness comes from the humidity in the air

@Jake
Pasteurized substrate following your advice today. Got a question tho. I have it in spawn bags close with a zip tie. So completely sealed. Is that going to be a problem? As it's building up good microbes?

Thank you for such a fast reply
Trying grains to pasteurized substrate for the first time with Pans 😀
I know you and Asura say Pans on grains should take about 10 days. But at how many days would you consider the culture no good? Let's say it's been 15 days. Would you choose not to use that jar?

I'm not experienced but if you keep it sealed it favors anaerobic conditions. So I personally wouldn't, at any stage.

That was what I was thinking. So Adas you would say open it up just a little bit? Is it nessesary to have like micropore tape or could it just be out in the open?

Properly pasteurized shit should be good for more than a week. Anything more I would repasteurize. Unless you manage to keep all potential mold spores out, so if you succeeded using micropore tape such that after the pasteurization it would already be "sealed", then it should last indefinitely.

I mean I leave mine sealed in the Ziploc bags for about a week a little longer I don’t have any problems I’m guessing a Myco bag with a filter patch would even be better

If I have extra in a bag that's been sitting for a week I freeze it. Next time I go to use it I leave it's sit for a few days after it's thawed. Not sure if that's the right mentality or not. Wondering if freezing kills off the microbes.

Freezing doesn't kill anything. Besides, it's not microbes you worry abut, it's contam molds.

I didn't mean intentionally killing off microbes with freezing. I freeze my subs to stave off molds after I've had them for a week.

i freeze everything i make. il make up about 40lbs or so of sub and about 15 lbs of casing at a time. il bag them all into 5 or so lb bags and just load up my big freezer and take it out as i need it. its kinda nice having a lil surplus to work off of so i dont have to make shit up every grow

So you're pasteurizing after it's been frozen? That makes more sense now that I think about it.
