lol the smell thing is so funny.
The first time I harvested I walked in the room after the dehydrator had been running a few hours and immediately started gagging.
Now I walk in, take a deep inhale through the nose, and think “ah success!!”

personally i dont like wbs for that very reason i always think its harder to tell good myc of any type using it. i love rye mostly cuz the myc always seems to look very similar on it. of coarse wbs is fine to use i just personally have a harder time looking at it is all. when i do pans on rye i always get growth like this

Separate question:
After I got to about the 3rd agar transfer, more and more of my plates would slow way the fuck down right before reaching the edges. I have 10 T5 plates, 3 of them are like this first one and reached the edge of the plate in a couple weeks, and the rest are like the bottom ones that pretty much stop once they get about 1cm from the edge of the plate. Has anyone had this happen? If so, how did things turn out after putting them to grain?

also i never let plates that are going to grain grow out that far. thats a good way to invite contams. i like to keep mine at the 1.5-2.0 inch max diameter. and i will cut those into 1/4s. you can aee the size of the wedges in the one of the pics. now this is just my method others will do different shit and thats ok too. this is just what i prefer is all

well yall i broke up my colonized bulk bags of asuras aussies yesterday and laid them to trays to recover. sorry for the crap pics tho but looking down through the plastic tops dont make it easy to see. but im sure you all get the general idea of what its looking like. so i should be ready to case in the next few days😃 sadly i ended up using my same full size propagation dome trays that i use for proven cultures. when i went and grabbed my smaller lasagna trays out of the dishwasher the cheap fuckers had warped from the heat. so i need to buy some new ones. i know empty tray shots are boring as fuck but its all i have going cuz i shut down my chambers for cleaning. so hopefully il have some fruiting pics coming soon.

I forgot where I was reading this, but a study that was measuring the actives content was finding more in later flushes, not less. I don't know if this is common knowledge or a real thing or whatever, but it's the first I had heard about it. I am going to start running mine until they stop producing flushes. I want to test this out.

interesting asura if u find that plz shoot me a link as id like to read that. i just have been stopping my pans after the 3rd flush. cuz to me it seems like the fruits become way smaller and less abundant. and when i have had something else waiting in line i didnt want to waste the time for less fruits. i just figured it was due to the nutes in the sub being used up and having a harder time pushing out normal size fruits and the overall amount of fruits. my lord i dont think i could even imagine these things being more potent lol last batch fuckn 1.8 blasted me way the fuck out there. was some pretty hardcore shit lol
