Nope I just mix them together dry cold soak overnight in a bucket pour it into a screen in my sink hang it from the cabinet then spread it out in this cylindrical plastic trough that I have (I think it’s meant to go underneath water heaters to catch water) Makes them every half hour or so until they are the right kind of dry and then load them up. I’m not sure exactly I haven’t been here for all that long this is only my second year since I registered my screen name, Also I don’t go into a lot of threads just a few exotic ones this one and some specialty ones that I made and the picture of the day of course lol. Some people spend a lot of time helping others on here and while I do all I can I have a lot of projects going on and I can’t put in the same amount of screen time as may be required I need to update a few of my posts too

Just posting my first Pan pins... Been a while and definitely had a few failures along the way, but stoked to finally have some solid success with these guys. Followed Asura's Cultivating Pans to the letter and found good success. Hopefully they keep developing and I get some solid fruits but I want to thank Asura, Mary Fairchild, Jake, Blue Helix, jcm, and probably 5-10 other folks here for everything they've been offering out to the group for so long here. Just great support and tons of inspiration. Thanks!!

thanx man😃 im flattered as i am still new to pans myself . congrats on the pins tho man. soon you will be saying goodbye to cubes for a while like i did. lol
but in my propagation trays i am using 2 qts of rye and 4 qts of sub that is a 60% straw and 40% horse manure mix per tray.
i will spawn to bulk in bags allow to colonize 100% then break them all up good and lay to the trays to recover 100%. once recovered i will case with a 50/50 peat and coarse verm and lil calcium carbonate to a ph of 7.5. once cased i will cover again and let colonize for 18-24 hours. then il uncover and give it a very very generous misting and place into the fc.
you dont have to cover again once cased but i just like to let the myc run up thru the casing a lil bit before i mist and place in the fc. i know some ppl do similar things and some do different things. this is just my method. you just have to find what you like and what works for you. there is always several ways to get there. just as long as you keep the same basic principals of proven methods. you will be good to go👍👍 just make sure you share pics😃😃

I have never had any trouble with oats, but it definitely isnt my favorite grain
My favorite is rye / millet 50/50
But if I'm being impatient I've never had any problem w oats. I've done tons of cubes on em, tamps, galindoi, azurecens, p sub, and tons of edibles, never had any issues
Why do so many people hate oats?
I decided to just boil wheat rather than soaking it for this lc tonight, looks golden, i imagine itll work fine. Usually i soak. If this works well I'll start running no soak wheat more often since price is same as oats
But on the poo-Q, I'm right there with yall lol... i use straight coir usually just for ease of cleanup and prep, but my favorite sub is definitely manure/straw/coir/verm/gypsum.
The 295g fruit in my sig was from a 66qt tub where the first flush weighed 3495g (at least 12 fruits over 120g), used that sub blend. Every time I use poo that culture throws 120g+ fruits like clockwork. W straight coir itll still throw 100+g fruits, but not as regularly or as many, yields more in the 1500-2200g range

Oats by itself can be problematic sometimes it’s fine but then I’ve gotten bags of it and while gourmet and cubes will still do fine pans will struggle I guess there is occasionally a microbe that they don’t like I’m not sure but it happened a few time to me when I was running just oats I’ve never had it happen with 25% though my favorite mix also is millet and rye but at 75% Millet 25% rye however oats are so much cheaper and at that ratio you really can’t Tell the difference
and my wife hates the way Ryberry smell

Lol my girl also hates it, like she won't stay on the same floor when I'm cooking rye.. maybe I'm weird but I like it.. probably just associate it with magic

This is about 40 hours after shaking (shook 11 days after tiger drop 2.0, looked to be about 30%) This looking okay? First timer here... The mycelium appears to be thicker on the WBS than it appeared on the agar. Not as whispy as I assumed it would be.

Separate question:
After I got to about the 3rd agar transfer, more and more of my plates would slow way the fuck down right before reaching the edges. I have 10 T5 plates, 3 of them are like this first one and reached the edge of the plate in a couple weeks, and the rest are like the bottom ones that pretty much stop once they get about 1cm from the edge of the plate. Has anyone had this happen? If so, how did things turn out after putting them to grain?
