So the lemon tek was powerful. Come up fast, but not difficult like I've experienced with some other big doses. Really vivid wall distortion and sensory changes. Lovely. Then later on for about 30 mins I was clinging on a bit and nausea accompanied a visit from the mushroom god with some vivid pictorial messages about stuff to do with ancestors and tribalism...then I got my Aztec codex out and consumed a lot of nitrous oxide and some magic things happened (I tried this before with this sacred text and strange things seem to happen). The theme was life and death and honoring ancestors...very very enjoyable bar a little peak nausea. I'm game for 2g next time, just need to make sure my stomach can take it (or if I'm sick it'snot the end of the world).
Not going back to cubes for the foreseeable future...👍

Looks like it'll almost be hard to fuck this up at this point. The 1qt tray almost caught up to the 2qt tray. Probably casing in the morning.

just a fantastic beautiful ride with great music while laying in a completely dark room with brilliant colors and patterns is all.

but heres something you can do if you want a really weird and absolutely fucking out there type of experience. however i dont suggest you do this if you dont have someone sober in another room.

fast for 12 hrs. grind up 1.5-2.0 dry grams of pans. capsule them. then with a new sewing needle or scalpel blade poke a few tiny holes or slits into the capsules. now get ahold of some ambien. now take the ambien and give all phones and guns/knives to your sitter in the other room. go to the bedroom where you will stay and turn the stereo on at a loud level so you can feel the music. make sure you have a long playlist. now once you start feeling drowsy take the pan capsules and go lay down on the bed in the dark. i promise you one of the weirdest things you can ever experience. DO NOT DO THIS ALONE IM NOT EVEN JOKING HERE.

I wonder if it has something to do with my heater. Both trays have fluffier myc on that side and that's the direction of my space heater.

Hmm

I thought I posted an update on my pan trop trays... but maybe I fell asleep while trying to do it.
So ... first up, the pre casing pins were a false alarm. On closer inspection it was some kernels of grain here and there that had changed color to greenish tan for some reason.

I mixed up and applied some casing following Asura’s tek (thank you) and made some modifications to my fruiting chamber to get a periodic flush if fresh air and drop in RH.
Thanks to jcm and zifozonke for pointers about fruiting chambers.

I’m happy to report that within 24 hours I could see the myc pushing up into the casing.
I’m hopeful I’ll reach my goal of getting more than 5 fruits this time!

Good luck psilo I may have waited another day or 2 to case but your myc looks better than mine IMO. Maybe well be pushing pins around the same time.

Jcm I like to keep my temps around 80 but cant argue with your results you've been killing it

lol i hate when i fall asleep postin shit.😃😃 those kernals did kinda look like pins coming up😃 but right on guys hopefully soon you both will see pins poppin up all over the place. keep us posted cuz im counting on you guys for my fix of pan porn. i dont have nothing fruiting of my own to see at the moment. i should be spawning asuras aussies to bags of bulk within the next 3-5 days. im in the middle of a good clean up job of my fcs at the moment. here in the next cpl days tho ima find one of jakes prints to do next. just not sure which one yet.

grim i like to keep my fc between 77-81 at all times. more so on the 77 end of the scale if i can. but i never bothered with trying to heat colonizing spawn/bulk. i honestly have not noticed any difference at all in speed or strength/health  of mycelium be it pans or cubes at room temp. while i dont think 80 is too high for the mycelium at all. i just think that those extra 7-8 deg dramatically increases the chances of contams.

Excited about this one I managed to traditionally mate pan cyan Jalisco with the pan trop Australia. I got a few more trays behind this one but the fruits are def different looking than either parent strain

Jake, the stipes on that cross are very robust. If they consistently produce that phenotype it would be awesome! By traditional cross do you mean isolating monokaryotic mycelium from each type and then introducing them to each other? Or did you inoculate plates or an LC with dilute solutions of each spore type?

I know this isn’t the id spot but do these look like pans??

Friend from north la county just sent me the pic. They got lots of rain on and off last week or two and now that the suns back these popped up.

I was just reading about Cinctulus and stuff so it’s got me curious now.
