Thanks
I did put more water on the casing as well as bottom watering the substrate. I was able to crank up my heater a few degrees so Iβm hoping to find it closer to 81-82 now.
Couple few more pins since this morning. Who knows in 2-3 days I could be looking at a dozen or more. π

Wow, those have an even more pronounced bell shape in the cap than the Jalisco variety that Jake was posting. There is a really cool series on NetFlix called "One Strange Rock". One of the episodes shows that each year there are massive duststorms that carry dust from Africa over the entire Atlantic ocean and deposits it in South America (and I assume some to Central America and the Carribean and Mexico). I wonder if the Jalisco and Wild Coast are in the same family? Alan R could maybe do a genetic analysis and tell us if there seems to be some relation.
Cool stuff folks. Thank you Zifozonke for bringing the Wild Coast to our cultivation community.

I have a pcr I can sequence them, I already have Jalisco PCRβd Iβm just waiting to send off with a few others I donβt have wild coast tho They will likely both come back pan cyan tho, we would need a breakdown of compound lvls to be able to compare against other pan cyan strains, and even then I would like to see testing done on several different substrains of the same strain to see how consistent lvls are within a strain. I know they can vary a great deal one strain to another but how consistent are those lvls is the question

Im really glad to have been able to share the Wild coast Pans and the other one I recently found with this community.(actually picked up another pan cyan in wild last week about 150kms inland from where I stay that Ill be sharing soon...)
So nice to see them appreciated and going around...Ive always believed they actually use us to go where they WANT to GO....
Id love to see results of the Wild coast Pans sequenced-and where they stand in the family tree compared to all the others found round the world. Its seems like the parcel I sent with the samples of my more recent find of the unknown Pan to AR may be lost in post system or getting sent back...I would have really liked to have seen what results said of them...but we will all have to wait... A few members are all busy with trying to grow and fruit them so I suppose when the time is right and samples can be produced and looked at we will all find out-exciting stuff!!

I got some of those prints coming my way thanks to Asura. You guys are doing such a nice thing with all these Pans! Sharing your spores, time and knowledge etc
On that note.. I do not want to jinx it and I still haven't got fully matured Pans but I got my first PanCake prints just 5 days back. Today I got pins in my trays for the first time
There is more in the tray spread out

My jar of pans is about done and the whole city shuts down tonight so I had to go get some stuff. Wanted horse manure and straw but this was the best they had.

Should be fine yeah? Says itβs aged and composted organic.

My MS pan has been this size for about 24 hours. Haven't grow barely anything. Small caps.. first time so I'm not sure how they grow normally.
Should I increase FAE or just wait it out and see?
It's hard to see in the picture but a few stop growing and got a dark cap. Not from misting tho because I been using a syringe for that.
Please Jake or Asura or anyone with experience for that matter.

That's as big as those will get. If you haven't seen any growth in that long, they are done.

Aw shit. Really wish I knew if I did something or if it might just be because its MS.
I open the door to the GH a little bit and have pins in my tray so will see if the same thing happens there.
Also.. is it a bad idea the clone any of these since they stop growing? (The cakes)

Those cakes look like they have some good fruits. I would clone them. I think it's your fruiting that has them tiny like that, not the genes. Just a guess anyway.

Would you guess they need more FAE or what? That would be my first guess
Oh and I will now pick the 10-15 mushrooms that got some size to then. Could I just store them in a container with some toilet paper and make sure to not close it completely to store then for a day or two before they tiny mushrooms catch up?
So not want to run the dryer for 15 pans haha small ones even.
Edit: When I use the syringe to moisten the casing I take the cakes out for a few min from the GH could this be a factor?
