I didn't think Pans were symbiotic, it's just that people claim that Pans don't grow well without the shit. But I haven't seen anyone fruit Bisporus from a no-shit substrate so I gave it a shot. For science you know.

Yeah so when Alan and I were together we looked at several under the scope before running pcr, the pan Australia red spore microscopically matches pan trop, the pan jam may be pan cam we discovered pan senguio is actually a unidentified pan. We ran pcr on all verifying that the senguio is Unidentified and got some verification on other properly named pan cyans but the jam and sandoze failed. I’m gonna run again here soon. These sandoze are from the same genetics that produced the caps carpets 98% of the time. Many times looking at the fruits with the naked eye isn’t enough to verify subspecies. However if you work with a strain for long enough eventually you will see phenotypes that possibly may lead you to investigate further.

Ok - so prepped my sub for some Pan Alabama but seemed to have overshot my hydration. Shooting for 63% or so since I'll be doing direct inoculation with LC looking to get up to a 65% target. I'm currently at 80% hydration.
What's the best way to reduce this - adding some verm? My LC is ready to go now and after another day or two it's gonna start getting too thick to draw easily into a syringe.

Awesome Psilo! Stay on top of that casing and make sure it stays pretty wet. Good thing it's the weekend I'm sure you have more right behind this one.

Anyone have anything to say about this pattern in the ring? There have been some temperature variations, but not lots.

jcm, my jams came from mary fairchild. The original print was dated 2017. I THINK she got her print from mxxxxxxx.cxx before the overlay genetics started popping up in 2018.

ok cool good to know cuz the first ones i had from that vendor gave me nothing but shit overlay and i wasnt even able to fruit anything from the syringe i got. then once i got your print i had only minor overlay type myc on agar but that was easy to transfer away from and i was able to obtain a clean good looking plate within a few transfers. somebody needs to go out and do some serious hunting for some good wild specimens to basicly redo the gene pool. cuz its obviously getting totally fucked up i mean look at this sorry shit lol im sure il take the bigger ones off and just toss the tray by tonite. this is the last one i havent thrown out yet

Wild coast "bell" pheno.... I just love the shape on these caps..have cloned a nice cluster from the first flush and have printed the biggest/best looking bell shaped caps.

Those are beautiful, Zifo. I love that bell shape.
I have a clone growing out as well, but just from a cluster of nice looking fruits. Nothing cool like you have there.
Have you done a bio-assay with these yet? I haven't had a chance to try them.

This jar is definitely doing better after shaking than my first one did.
Does it look healthy still? I’ve been having bacteria problems lately and not sure about pan myc.

Looks good to me but you know. It moves so fast, looking at the pic from yesterday I couldn’t believe how it spread.
Lol I was reading yesterday and people were saying how good pan myc smells so I opened my jar that half way recovered from shaking...it was not a good smell.
