That's kind of sweet of you... My sense of value is not bound to how many people "like" me.. Not in real life and certainly not in this community. I'm not defending anyone's honor. I'm definitely not trying to earn "likes" from anyone.

If I'm defending anything its common sense and scientific understanding.

But I'm going to stop right here, because this is the official Copelandia/Panaeolus thread and not the making a blind, that doesn't wants to see, see thread.

Wish you good growths! For your pans and maybe even for yourself

Let's get back on topic, ya'll and talk about pans.

I hope everyone here who has been sticking with it, is learning something. I am
still learning and I am nowhere near where I want to be...jake's level!
I certainly seem to see more grows than I ever have on the site before. And that
has always been my #1 goal - getting people interested in the species.

There is new information coming in all the time. I am about to update my write up
with new info. I have been doing my casing layers a lot thinner...like 2mm. Also,
I haven't been dropping my RH at pinning for awhile now. I'm just running that fogger
as hard as I can. Lately, I have found I can run it even harder than I ever thought
possible.

I will say that my write up incorporates A LOT of information from mary and Blue Helix,
mixed with my experience. And my experience started with digging through every pan
thread on this site (and others) that I could find and trying to collate all of it into
some kind cohesive work - all the while testing out everything. It is just a work
in progress, really. I try not to speculate too much or share about things I have never
done.

Also, I have failed so many times I have lost count. But I have never given up
and I keep learning more each grow. Believe me, I understand those of you
who are frustrated. Seriously.

Looking forward to that write up Asura, there does seem to be a lot of Pan enthusiasts lately :thumbup:

I've been playing around with surface conditions, trying out some baking paper to keep it nice and humid. Every time I go hunting there's always so much damp grass keeping everything moist. I think I'll be growing some tall grass in a monotub soon...
Hopefully some pins the next few days! :sunny:

Also got a bunch of transfers growing out, hopefully get some healthy culture to put to grain soon! I tried 1% BRF agar this time, I don't think it's strong enough. Will go up to 2% next batch to see if it helps speed up growth:willynilly:

Asura, I made three bags the way you say to and at the end of my cycle I was pretty much out water but the bags look good. They do 'feel' more wet than I thought they would but they don't look wet. Do your bags feel like a soggy diaper? I forgot to lable my lc so it's either pan jam or RDU. Nothing worth pics just yet.

Nice, bert. I did my T1 transfers of the Gardner Fall's tonight. 8 plates.
I did half on regular agar and half on tea agar.

I got this tray of Aussie coming in. I'm hoping some of the smaller fruits
catch up tonight.

Yeah...I guess they kinda do feel like that, but at the same time they shouldn't be overly wet. Once I have air in bag and I start
"fluffing up" the sub, the consistency is usually what I would think of as field capacity...but it's in the bag so I don't
really know. There is no pooling or anything. The sub is fully holding on to the water.

Im a little late in the convo about RH but here's my take if you're using an inkbird. Try 93% as a high, 83% as a low and experiment from there. Environments differ greatly. That's about my baseline but I still fuck with it all the time.  As jake has said if the color of the casing is turning light brown you may be on the dry side. If you're getting puddles you're on the wet side.

I tried running without the inkbird and just cycle timing but I cant watch it as much as needed. I also run a electric space heater in my room so where it's positioned I've found will greatly affect your inkbird settings.

There ya go thenagual! Gotta start somewhere! A lot of growing pans is getting a feel for them it really just takes practice. It’s hard to give exact parameters for FC because I’m constantly adjusting based on how things look in the tent. It does require an operator.
Here are sum more Haustralian venom before printing

gonna try revive this Thai species.looks sorta thick like antillarum but has brown spores like foes and is about as potent as cinctulus, hoping to just get some germination from it and get it sequenced, grew it awhile back but didn't go anywhere with it once I realized It wasn't a cyan lol
