I think I’ll be casing these Pan jam trays this weekend...

My plan is some Jiffy seed starting mix sweetened a bit with hydrated Lyme. About a 1/4 inch thick at most, right?

I was looking at that too.
I thought maybe pin mold but idk enough about pan myc so figured it might just look like that when it spreads on the surface.

not sure really what manure is best for them in general. i just havnt really heard good things with that brand(black kow) being used rite out of the bag. but im sure itl work just fine if it is aged and prepared properly. i guess i just get spoiled having a family member with horses and being able to get all the well aged manure i can use lol. i tried cow manure one time years ago for cubes and had way better harvest with horse and found the horse seemed to colonize faster and stay good longer

Does anybody have brand recommendations for pan sub?
Im only working with big hardware stores or amazon really.
All this horse talk did remind me that there’s a part of town kinda close by where people have horses. They even have dirt instead of sidewalks a lot of places, might have to cruise through looking for shit.

My theory is that it will grow on any poo where that animals diet is grass. I base this on the straight straw grows and the ones I've seen that use cow. Just a theory.

lower left on the first photo? I thought the same thing but as I'm not terribly experienced with pans and not at all with pan Jamaican I was not entirely sure. do you think the Pan myc will over run it? Should I give it a sprits of hydrogen peroxide there or just leave it alone?

The problem with fluffy myc is it normally just stalls out and overlays without fruiting right? The most grown in plate grew halfway then slowed way down for a while so I set it aside, but now it’s almost filled in.
The plate on the right has that satellite contam, but it seems like the kind of myc I want so is it worth saving?

Jakeoncid419 said: Yeah I mean there is a tipping point where there’s just puddles and your sub is floating and it’s too much they will still grow but they will get mushy and it won’t be good however this is an extreme the only time I’ve had that happen is if I just left the fogger on for hours at a time but definitely error on the side of too wet it’s easy to just drain excess water out of a tray but once you fry fruits those are done
Blowing fog directly onto the pins will make them abort like is the case with misting them, right?

No I have not found that to be the case I know it’s odd but my top trees pretty much get fog directly and my fruits are fine

I'm going nuts here. It feels like I spent the last 3 days standing in front of that martha and waiting for pins.
It's day 8 since casing now, and all I got is this:

How long would you guys wait before throwing it out and starting over? 10, 15 days?

OK so I did this so you guys can see the difference the fruiting chamber makes. I feel like there are a lot of people that think as long as they follow the rest of the tech to a T they can slack on the FC. I know some people simply don’t have the room or the resources right away and that’s fine here soon I’m going to try and build a mini JOC Chamber And see if I can’t come up with a design for people that fit this category. These trays are both clones in the Jartha they would be canopies almost undoubtably. I did everything the exact same as I normally do except stuck in these in a traditional mono tub instead of the Jartha. Pan Jalisco clone (left) Pan peace river clone right
