Alright so I was surprised to find a pin starting.

Did I just get really lucky and now I can clone it and go from there??

Got trich in the corner. Notice it had stalled. I'm certain that I can partly put this down to genes and I've just made three new LC's ready for inoculation after going back to agar and print...the LC I've been using its getting on a bit and I didn't really know what I was looking for. Still lots to learn.

Still got 20g wet. That along with other failure crops will just about be enough for a nice time. Every cloud.

@Jake, with your Jartha, do you ever have to mist and if so approx how often do you need to under your circumstance?

I ask because I got my second round of trays inside my GH as we speak.
Been in there for 3 days and casing still very moist so you know how its when you have the noob nervse about first pan pins

If something is off with my timing or the fogger ran out of water or something then I will hand correct however you shouldn’t need to if everything is working properly.

@Asura and Jake, you guys are the best.
My Inkbird humidity controller broke last night (will try to change the sensor, I get spares) so it humidifier didnt stop so its been on for atlesat 5 hour in a row. GH was wet but nothing super crazy! I was worried I got my casing to wet but seems like I need to keep it really wet at all time so I hope now I be fine:rockon:

I guess as long as you do not saturate the substrate you can keep the casing super wet is that understood correctly?

I've lost too many trays, because it looked wet - so I just let everything run it's course. Now,
I am actually going in and poking everything with my finger  I need better glasses.

The sponge analogy is the only one I have right now. A sponge that's wrung out still looks wet.
A sponge full of water also looks wet. You really want that sponge full of water all the
while having a high rate of evaporation.

Lots of hand watering for me, even with the humidity controller in place (which is running
through about 2 gallons of water a day)

Yes that’s why I preach the fogger system so much because keeping them as wet as they like by hand would require tons of work my fog tub holds about 5 gallons of water and it easily goes through three a day. They thrive in a wet environment and you can see in my pictures all the best trays are glistening those phv I posted above Look like that because the fogger ran out of water for a few hours the other day just a few hours of it being down and it cracks the caps and fried a bunch of fruits that would have been a canopy otherwise

I have to run at 96-98 or so to keep the casing pretty wet. I'm just nervous about doing it
once pins have started to come in.

Do you dial it down a bit at pins or just keep it running as is?

I have it run a little stronger when I first put the trays in and then dial it back a tad once I see pins forming however they seem to do just fine you definitely don’t want puddles and you don’t want them to wet especially depending on what you’re doing if you’re going to take prints I try and dry them a little bit in the tent before I pull them for printing but the fogger definitely does not seem to hurt them if it does a little too much I just pour the excess water out the corner of the tray and go back on about my business

Hey all Copelandia experts. I was wondering if you could point me to a couple of pictures of trays building knots/pinning.. its hard to use the search function to find exactly that ^^
