Hi. I've got some pan cyan estero on agar and I've made some transfers today (T1) and I didn't want to throw away the rest of the plates so I've made LI of it. I'm a beginner and I want to use every opportunity to learn. My plan is to use it like Angam does his grows. That is LI straight to sterilized manure/hay 2/1 ratio. After colonizing I'll spread it on a tray, consolidation and casing. This will be fruited in a SGFC. Any thoughts or advice?

Those really are beautiful Jake. I attempted some Bisporus a while ago and everything looked solid, but post shake they just never recovered. Never seen that happen before. Some people talk about it happening periodically with pans while other's say that pans are no more likely to stall out after a shake than any other species.. Never got up the gumption to make another attempt.

I have a question, I identified a fruit that has the stem wider than the rest and is also bigger. I'd like to clone it but it came out in the third flush more or less... Does that mean that if i clone it it will take a lot to fruit? or not necessarily?
Here is the picture of the one i want to clone

It also has spore all over the stem, i would have to clean that fruit first before cloning it i guess, i don't want the spores to germinate.

I have noticed Bisp is just sensitive to lack of oxygen. Let em breathe more.

Ok so I need more opinions here.
These are some older plates and a jar two days post shake.

The top two plates have myc closest to what I want right? The bottom plate with the mold starting is a transfer I took from some real thin growth on a germ plate. I think itβs looking promising so far but I gotta get it away from that mold.
Also does the jar look normal? I switched brands of seeds and Iβve been having a lot of bacteria problems with it for some reason. Guess I gotta bump up the pc time for this brand.

I'm trying out some Jam, Florida, and Estero. What type of agar would you recommend? I usually use lme anywhere from 1.5-2%.

The best kind of dealers sell manure..
I had a plate that I took transfers from, and for the sake of experimentation I chucked in some bulk straight on top of the agar. It's ripped through the substrate, and my understanding with pans is you want to keep the momentum going.
Should I case now or let it colonize to absolute 100%?
Black spot is just the camera acting up..

Pictures of zifozonke's unknown pan on agar (2% me, 0.8% peptone, 50ppm chloramphenicol). always get crappy pictures of agar but here they are anyway. gonna let em grow out a bit past where spores were swabbed and then take transfers to regular 2% mea.

in other news I was ready to case some trays of cyans today but unfortunately half of them were contaminated with penicillium, or maybe trich, idk either way they were bad. Kind of demoralizing, but it seems like everything cultivation related this winter has been plagued with issues. Think I might be cursed.

There we are, looking okay so far. Peace rivers.
Got trich in the corner. Notice it had stalled. I'm certain that I can partly put this down to genes and I've just made three new LC's ready for inoculation after going back to agar and print...the LC I've been using its getting on a bit and I didn't really know what I was looking for. Still lots to learn.
