Not saying it cant work but pasteurization kills off harmful bacteria, among other things. Introducing unpasteurized sub would introduce bacteria.

pasturizing is to kill molds and competitor fungi. that said an aggressive species will have no problem colonizing unpasteurized manure but you're taking risk u don't need

Oh shit, there are pins in the peace river mono...I'll post picture later. Been tinkering with conditions for ages so very excited if they make it to maturation without aborting.

Happy for you Mull!
I would be super stoked even to get pins. Haven't even gotten that far.

Cased 3 trays yesterday tho. Will keep trying until I get it tho!

Thank you. I got lucky with an early shoe box last year, but since then failure after failure. Patience is essential when learning about what pans like.

Good luck with the trays

Thank you!

I know we talk about wispy and fast mycelium when we talk about Pans.
But is there such a thing as to thin haha?
First time I see a Pan plate like this, but to me it looks good?
Comments please.

man at that point i'd have to think something happened to the print that killed it. like maybe the mailman had an appointment for an xray in the middle of his route and he walked into the xray machine with his mailbag and the spores got zapped. or he dropped the mailbag in front of his space heater when he went for his lunch break and they got roasted.

@jcm More aussies in the FC at the moment...at the "dear god I hope they pin tomorrow" stage.

So hopefully I will be able to flood the marketplace with fresh prints.

Attempting 50 prints of fresh jams right now.

I got tons of pan prints RN it’s been a while since I’ve done a giveaway anyway
Got lots of huge bisp prints and a bunch of TX which are quickly becoming my favorite cyan to work with.
Let’s say first 20
Either post a pic of your last success or a comment/question  on where you think things went wrong or if it’s your first attempt let’s here you grow/FC plans. comment in thread to hold space in line then PM me. I’m pretty caught up atm so tomorrow/today is a perfect day for it.

Pan Bisporus (sequenced and verified)

Pan TX (sequenced and verified cyan)
